Is Country Truely The Best Genre To Listen To?

Despite the cowboy setreotype it has earned, I feel as though Country music is the deepest of all genres. The lyrics truely are better than rock or raps. It touches closer to home and has a bit of a more realistic feel to it. It's also alot more relaxing.

Personally, I agree.. I greq up listening to Country.. I love country music, despite how most people I know hate it.. It is the music that describes how life really is.. and it is relaxing to listen to.. But its also great if you wanna have a good time..

Only country I listen to is psychobilly, which is a sort of a sub genre, and also, its not the deepest lyrics(at least in my opinion), youth crew and metalcore has some of the deepest lyrics of any genre out there in my opinion.

I disagree, simply because every single country song I've ever heard in my entire life sounded exactly the same. There are only a few topics in a country song: Trucks, Love, and Prison. And Beer.

 

 

I just really really hate country. I don't think that it is intelligent at all. Country artists are the stupidist lyricisits I've ever heard. And sure it's relaxing, because you subconsciously tell yourself, "I'm glad I don't think it's cool to wear a huuuuuuuge hat and tiiiiiiiiiiight jeans everywhere I go."

These are just two lyrics. Sure they talk about their (cowboy, bar) triats but its similar to how rappers talk about living in the streets, the only diffrence is that in general most rappers dont ever branch of into anything besides being gangster, fighting, weed, and women. Of course you have the occasional two rappers that noone knows besides the internet hiphop obsessed fans know about, but I mean in reality there are more country songs that have more variety in their lyrics then say rap or rock.

ANd that is why all i listen to is metalcore and youth crew and some underground rap here and there, which is pretty damn far from mainstream.

I listen to Brit Rock, LP, and Christian Metal, rock, rap, you name it.

agree cause i grew up wif country music, and i can relate to some of the songs...they sing about everyday stuff, and stuff that people can say "Yeah i know how that feels" to. I like almost every type of music, but Country is one of my favs.

To me Counrty music is, either you love it or you hate it.. And I would probably hate it if I didn't grow up listening to it.. but it had a big impact on my life.. and Its one of those things that I will always love.. and if other people hate it, what do I care.

Can't you say the same for basically every other genre out there? Its genre has its own basic line topics that it talks about.. and those are just countries..
