i never said it was, but it is something that all people can relate to, and is easy on the ears. Like, older people (40s/50s) wont listen to rock and rap and hip/hop but they will listen to country....so they relate to it

I don't think it's really easy on the ears. Personally it makes me want to tear my ears off and eat them. It's easy listening because they all sound the same, and you barely have to have the intelligence of a four year old retard named earl to appreciate it as 'music.'

 

The only reason people can relate to it is the inner voice inside of their unconscious that whispers "Damn, I remember when I was this stupid..."

I disagree, simply because every single country song I've ever heard in my entire life sounded exactly the same. There are only a few topics in a country song: Trucks, Love, and Prison. And Beer.

 

 

I just really really hate country. I don't think that it is intelligent at all. Country artists are the stupidist lyricisits I've ever heard. And sure it's relaxing, because you subconsciously tell yourself, "I'm glad I don't think it's cool to wear a huuuuuuuge hat and tiiiiiiiiiiight jeans everywhere I go."

There is no best genre. If there was, there wouldn't be genre, there would just be country. I believe every genre has something great to offer to the world of music. Indie, Country, Death Metal, Techno, Disco, Big Band, Psychadelic, Glam Rock, Pop, Punk...and every other genre in the business all produce great music.

The kind of music dosnt change the person, and i listen (and love) almost every type of music out there, so i know my stuff. Country is a good genre but none is the best; all genres have Pros and Cons to each of them, and that is why we have so many different types of music because not just ONE type of music appeals to everyone. Some might prefere rap, some Indie, some Death Metal, ect, because not everyone will like the same stuff. We call that variations. Variations is good because people wont have to listen to just one type of music, they can listen to whatever strikes their fancy. So, there is no genre that is the BEST to listen to out of them all, but there are tons, so every type is good in their own way

First, lemme say, I have to prove to no one my intelligence. Personally I don't care whether you find me smart, or look at me as a dumbshit.. Its not for me to prove to you.

 

Yes, I do listen to country, so therefore, I obviously do like it..and I am obviously going to say things to defend it, and not tear it down. So, yes anything I saw will be pretty biased. As will anything you say to offended be biased because you hate it.

 

And Yes, once again, I saw that you answered my question previously.. I just wanted to give my two damn cents.. Despite the cowboy setreotype it has earned, I feel as though Country music is the deepest of all genres. The lyrics truely are better than rock or raps. It touches closer to home and has a bit of a more realistic feel to it. It's also alot more relaxing.

Well, I myself find it really hard to listen to something relaxed like Country.. I kind-of need the fast paced music, with all the screaming/singing & guitar solo's with it, so country is definately not my style.

I just can't stand it. I can't stand the lyrics (as they talk about redneck things a lot), I can't stand their voices, I can't stand the intruments and how they're used, and it makes me cringe.

Notice how when you really look at it, alot of lead singers from rock bands really cant sing. Every notice how both rock bands and country singer artists play some version of a guitar. and usually talk about the same things. I mean your guy's arguments are weak. Practically the argument you people make against country can be made for every genre of music there is.
