But I guess they have always been portrayed as the rich ones, through literature and art and in The Merchant of Venice. I did an indepth study of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and I think they have unfortantunately been targeted unfairly by history.

UN was founded after WWII...

 

and it was a number of factors that brought WWII-Germany to its knees, one of those being Hitler himself...and of course the Allied forces were instrumental in this

 

Near the end of the war France and England were both in deep shit, one poor as hell, and one owned by Germany...guess which was which, and it was basically the US and the USSR that won the fights in the latter half of the war, and thereby won the war for the Allied forces

Getting back on original vein - I'm not sure why it is. I guess people jeer what they don't know/fear or what is most obvious/what makes one person different from another. That's bred into us to pick on the weaker kid with glasses as a 'nerd' or 'four eyes' even though s/he literally has 2 - and I compare this to the primal instinct of survival that sees weaker members being cast aside for the stronger to thrive and procreate and so carry on the fate of an entire species. Rather out there but the premise is the same basic one. It's instinct. It's inbred. It's ingrained into us. Education is the key here people - but like any classroom you'll always have one or two students that will rebel on sheer principle - and the madness continues.

 

Listen to kids in the play ground sometime. Big kids getting called fat. Black kids called 'Coons' (Australian slang equal to American 'Nigger') and so on. List is endless. Arent we lately (since Sept 11) collectively looking at the middle east with suspicious eyes nowadays? Isn't every turban wearing Muslim a terrorist waiting to martyr him/herself for their holy war etc, etc... I don't believe that - but we are a social species and that has its major flaws as well as advantages.

 

There's as many reasons for it as there are people doing it - literally. Doesn't make it right - it is what it is. Analyse it to your heart's content, won't change anything. Unfortunately. We don't live in a fairytale world. The atrocities of the past have taught us that much. And so the chaos continues... Man's inhumanity to man. Meh.

 

But just try calling a Jew a Kike and see the reaction you get. Oi! (joke)
