Chapter 13

When Talinda broke it off with Chester, after telling him that she was doing this for her husband, which had Chester asking her if she was ending their relationship because she was married, but then found out that her husband passed away. Talinda left his house leaving him with Sam. Once Talinda was gone, Chester came back downstairs, since him and Talinda were talking in his room, to talk to Sam. He was hoping to reconcile with her since he still did love her after he kept telling himself that he didn’t. He walked into the living room and stopped, seeing Sam sitting on the couch.

“Why did you do it?” Sam asked. She turned her head to look at Chester.

 

“Do what?” he asked walking further into the room and sat down next to her.

 

“Kiss me yesterday”

 

“Because I still love you” he said.

 

“What?” even though Sam heard him she wanted him to say it again.

 

He got off the couch and kneeled down in front of her. He took a hold of her hands, “I said I still love you, Sam. I thought you would realized that when I kissed you. I still love you. I always have”

 

“What about you and Sandra?”

 

“There’s no more me and Talinda”

 

“Did you break up with her so you can try and get back with me?” she asked.

 

“No. I wasn’t the one who broke it off with her. She did”

 

“She probably did it to help us get back together”

 

“What if she did?” he asked.

 

“You really want to give us a second chance?”

 

“Yes, but only if you want us to have a second chance. Do you?”

 

Sam didn’t respond back to him. Instead, she leaned down and there lips met in a second kiss since there divorce. When Sam pulled away she said to him, “Does that now answer your question?”

 

“Yes, it does.” He then softly pulled her into another kiss. Sam wrapped her arms around his neck to deepen the kiss. After she wrapped her arms around him, Chester leaned up a little without breaking the kiss. He slowly lowered her down onto the couch. He moved his mouth away from her’s, moving down to her chin and then to her neck. Sam let out a low moan as he continued to kiss her neck. When he reached back to her mouth, he then pulled away.

 

“Why did you stop?” Sam said breathlessly as she slowly opened her eyes up to look up at Chester.

 

“I stopped because I want to make sure that you really want to do this Sam and not regret it later”

 

“I do. I do want to do this. But before we go any further I need to do something” she said and lightly pushed Chester off of her so that they were sitting up. She then reached into her purse pulling out her cell phone and dialed a number.

 

“Who are you calling?” Chester asked.

 

“Leticia. I’m going to tell her to take Draven over to my mom’s”

 

“Oh. Okay”

 

After Sam finished talking to Leticia, she put her phone away. Chester stood up and helped her up by grabbing her hand. They walked out of the room going up the small steps and then going over to the staircase. They then walked up them, going up to their room. When they reached the room they went in, closing the door.

 

A Couple Hours Later

Chester lay down next to Sam after he came back from the bathroom. Sam moved closer to him putting one arm across his stomach and laid her head on his shoulder. Chester then ran his fingers slowly up and down her arm.

 

“Your not going to regret this later are you?” he said lightly grabbing her wrist holding her hand up and slid his fingers in between hers.

 

“Not at all. Are you?” she asked him moving her head so she could see him better.

 

“No. What’s going to happen to us now?” he asked resting his chin on the top of her head as she moved her hand from his. She then started moving a finger up and down his chest slowly.

 

“What do you mean?”

 

“I do want this, to be with you again, but I don't want to rush into it. I want to...”

 

“Take it slow this time?” she asked as she stopped moving her finger. She pulled the bed sheet closer to her, holding it, as she leaned on her left arm to get a better look at Chester.

 

“Do you want to take it slow?”

 

“It would be better on us”

 

“How are we going to tell Draven?”

 

“Will just tell him that we’re not taking that break anymore, that we’re seeing if we still need that break or not”

 

“I still love you, Sam”

 

“And I still love you too” she said. Chester then pulled her down closer to him to kiss her. She let go of the sheet she was holding up to put her arm around Chester so she could hold herself up better. When Chester pulled away, Sam let go of holding herself up and lay back down next to Chester. She put her arm back around him again and laid her head on his shoulder soon closing her eyes.

 

The Next Day

When Sam woke up she was wondering why she wasn’t in her own bed. She then felt someone put there arm around her. She then realized that she wasn’t wearing anything under the covers. As she turned around to face whoever was next to her, she saw Chester sleeping away. She thought she was dreaming and then remembered that she and Chester had reconciled last night. Seeing Chester asleep she moved his arm from around her and softly got up so she could get dress.

After Sam got dress, she stood in front of the mirror in the bathroom when she saw something on her neck. She pulled back her hair and slightly curs to herself when she saw that it was a hickey. Letting go of her hair, she walked out of the bathroom turning off the lights. She walked out of the bedroom and went downstairs to get her purse. While walking back up the stairs, she opened her purse and pulled out her cell to get what she needed out of the purse. She was going to put her phone away when she noticed that there was a missed call.

As she was getting to her voicemail, she walked back into the bathroom to try and cover up the hickey when her moms voice came on to the phone, ‘Hey Sam, it's your mom. I just wanted to know if you were going to pick up Draven today since it's close to one or do you want me to call Leticia and have her take Draven to Chester's? Call me when you get this message.’ After hearing her mom’s message she saved the message and closed her phone. She put the phone down and went to try and cover up the hickey. While she was looking in the mirror, she saw Chester coming into the bathroom. He walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her waist.

“Thanks for the hickey” she said putting the cover-up down. Chester just laughed. She turned around to face him, “My mom left a message on my phone, asking me if I was going to come and pick up Draven or have Leticia bring him to you”

 

“Did you call you're mom back telling her that your coming?” he asked.

 

“Not yet, because I want you to come with me” after she said that she saw Chester's face looked panicky.

 

“Come with you? Your mom doesn’t even like me anymore. She’ll probably think that were getting back together just for Draven's sake”

 

“If she says anything about not wanting us to be together again then I’ll just tell her that we really want this. I don't care who my mom thinks I should be with. If I want to be with you again then she'll just have to deal with it.” Once she said that Chester lean down and gave her a kiss.

Here's the next updated. From now on, in the story, things are going to change dramicatally, I guess you would say, with other secret to be revealed.

5 Months Later

 

It’s been 5 months since Sam and Chester had reconciled, giving each other another chance at being together. It’s also been the same amount of time since Talinda revealed her secret to Chester and Sam, that she was Sam's presumed-dead best friend Sandra Grace. When Talinda told Sam that she was Sandra, the both of them got to talking. She finally listened to what Talinda had to say about that day and what really happened. Sam found out she was only trying to help her get with Josh. She then told Talinda that after her ‘death’ that he dated someone else and ended up marrying the girl right out of high school. After talking about that, they both decided to try and give each other a chance at being friends again. They knew it would take a long time before they were like in high school.

When the high school reunion came up her and Talinda both went together. After the actual reunion, they remembered all the stupid stuff they did in high school. Sam even took her to the same Burger King she and Chester met at. After the reunion, they went back to the hotel they were staying at, which was only for a day. During the trip, Talinda shocked her with something that she wanted to do for awhile, move back to New York.

Once Sam and Chester reconcile, they decided to take it real slow. She didn’t move back in with him. So after 5 months of ‘dating’ he asked her to move back into the house they once share together. He wanted them to be a whole family again with Draven. Sam said yes. Draven was happy that his parents were getting back together. Before Sam was going to move back in with Chester she had her mom’s help selling her house. At first her mom wasn’t sure if she should get back with Chester but after Sam told her that she wanted this as much as Chester did; Lily decided to help her daughter.

 

“Are you ready Sam?” Sam turned around and saw Chester holding the last box in her now empty house.

 

“Yeah” she said walking up to him. He put down the box he was holding, giving her a kiss.

 

“I’ll put this last box in the car” he said when he pulled away. He picked the box up and walked out of the house going to his car.

 

As soon as Chester walked outside, Sam walked into the kitchen. She put the keys to the house on the kitchen counter so her mom could get them when she came over to check the house out. After setting the keys down, she walked over to the door, taking one last look at the house before closing the door behind her. She walked over to Chester, who was waiting for her. They got into the car and drove off. When they pulled up, they got out and grabbed a couple of the boxes out of the car bringing them into the house. Once they walked in, Sam was greeted by Draven running up to her.

“Mommy!” he yelled out excitedly grabbing onto her leg to give her a hug since she was standing up. He let go of Sam’s leg and she set the box she was holding down. She then reached and picked Draven up.

 

“Hey buddy, you must be happy”

 

“I am. My mommy and daddy is together again. We get to be a family again!”

 

“Yep we do” she said smiling. She put him down expecting him to run off but he didn't, “Hey! How come you don’t want to go back and play?” she asked him kneeling down.

 

“I wanna help put your stuff away mommy”

 

“Well, why don’t we all help mom out” she heard Chester suggest.

 

“Yeah, I could use you're guys help” she said getting up and picked up the box.

 

A Couple Hours Later

 

Once Sam put the last thing away she let out a sigh. Chester walked out of the closet and came up to Sam putting his arms around her waist. He then gave her a light kiss on the forehead.

“So were back to that?” she joked since it was something that he did often when they were first married.

 

“I would kiss you now, but with Draven in here I’m not sure if he'll wake up and be gross out by his parents kissing” he said looking at Draven who was fast asleep on their bed. When they were unpacking all he wanted to do was just flatten the empty boxes. Only after a couple boxes he started getting tired and fell asleep, “I’ll go and take him to his room” Chester said letting go of her. He walked over to the side of the bed and picked up his sleeping son. He carried him to his room as Sam followed stopping in the doorway of Draven’s room watching them.

 

After Chester put Draven down, he turned and walked towards Sam, grabbing the door handle. She moved backwards a little as he closed the door halfway. Once he got the door halfway closed, he put his arm around her and they started walking towards the stairs.

As soon as they got down the stairs, Chester moved his arm and walked off towards the kitchen, not saying anything to Sam. Not sure what he was doing, Sam walked into the living room and sat down on the couch. She grabbed the remote to the T.V. but before turning it on she looked to her left as she felt like someone was next to her. Chester was standing there holding a jacket and she also noticed that he was holding two beer bottles.

“Let’s go outside” he said handing her a bottle.

 

“What’s the special occasion?” she asked getting up as she set her bottle down on the coffee table. Chester then handed her the jacket he was holding.

 

“No special occasion" he said as she put the jacket on.

 

“Uh huh” she looked at him. She picked up her beer.

 

“No really -- there’s no special occasion” he said.

 

“I didn’t say I didn’t believe you.” Chester didn’t say anything back to her instead he took a hold of her hand and walked towards the sliding glass door. Reaching it, he let go of her hand only for a second to open the sliding glass door. After getting it open, he took a hold of her hand again as they walked out onto the patio. He let go of her hand again so they could sit down on the lounge chairs. They sat there in silence, drinking their beers slowly when Chester spoke up.

“There is a reason why I’m doing this” he said.

 

“What is it?” She asked raising an eyebrow.

 

“I want to spend a much time with you and Draven…” he paused for a little while, “The guys and I are going back into the studio to record our fourth album”

 

“Okay” was all she said but it shocked Chester.

 

“Really? You’re okay with that”

 

“Yeah. Why? You thought that I would be mad? I’m not going to. I’m actually glad that you guys are going back into the studio” after she said that Chester leaned across his chair and gave her a kiss. As he deepened the kiss, she could taste some of the beer in his mouth. She put one hand on the back of his neck, since she was holding her beer in the other hand. When they stopped kissing, Chester moved back so that he was sitting in his chair. They stayed out there for a little while until they both finished their beers. Once they finished their beers they got up and walked back into the house going into there room for the night.

A Year Later

Tucson, Arizona

 

“You guys are fucking great! Thanks for coming out” Chester yelled out to the crowd once they finished “One Step Closer”. As the fans started to slowly leave, Chester started to walk off the stage. Before he got off he saw Mike walking his way so he stopped him, “Hey man, I want to talk to you later when we get into the dressing room”

 

“Yeah. Sure”

 

I guess you guess it by now that their on tour for their fourth album. If you’re wondering about Sam, well Chester and she are doing really great. I guess you could say even better then their first marriage, if that's possible. Chester had even brought Sam along with him. He also convinced Sam to bring Draven along with them in which she said ‘yes’. Leticia also came with them since she’s Draven's nanny.

Once Chester finished telling Mike that he wanted to talk to him later they both walked off the stage to where Anna and Sam were standing on the side. They got to watch the show. As soon as Mike saw Anna, they both walked off leaving Chester alone with Sam. Before he even got his arms wrapped around her, she stopped him.

“I don’t want your sweat on me” she said.

 

Chester leaned closer to her ear, “Oh! But you don’t mind it when we, you know” he smirked and stood up straight. He saw that she was blushing.

 

“No. Your right I don’t” she said and then leaned in to give him a quick kiss. After she pulled away, he grabbed her hand and they started walking down to the dressing room. Before they got close to the dressing room, Sam let go of Chester’s hand, “I’m going to walk back to the tour bus with Anna. I’ll see you later” she said. Chester gave her a kiss and then walked towards the dressing room.

The minute Chester got into the room he went up to his part of the wardrobe case. He did what he had to do and packed a bag to take to the tour bus. After he was finished, he turned to his right and saw Mike standing at his part.

“You want to talk to me, so what’s up?” he asked when he faced Chester.

 

Before responding back to him, he looked around to see who was still in the room. He only saw Phoenix as he walked up to Rob.

 

“Hey, you okay man?” Phoenix asked Rob.

 

“Uh? Oh yeah” he said and looked at Chester and then looked back at his stuff.

 

“Are you ever going to tell Chester what happen in New York? Like that you slept with Talinda” he whispered to him.

 

“No”

 

“Rob, Chester's not going to get mad at you. He’s not even dating her anymore. So you’re more than good to go ahead and date her. I don’t know why you didn’t tell him four months ago”

 

“Yeah I know. I should have told him” Rob said and turned his head to look at Chester who was talking to Mike.

 

“It's about Sam…” Chester started telling Mike but he interrupted him.

 

“You’re not breaking up with her again, are you?”

 

“No!”

 

“Well it something that you don’t want the guys to know. Wait! Are you guys having a kid?”

 

Chester looked at him like he was crazy, “Only if we get married again” he said to himself, but Mike heard him.

 

“I know now! You want to ask Sam to marry you again”

 

“What I was going to ask you was if you could help me pick out an engagement ring”

 

“Why do you need my help? You were able to pick out a wedding ring for her when you were able to get one” he said.

 

“Yeah well when I bought the wedding ring, Sam picked it out. And I didn’t get her an engagement ring last time. I just need your opinion. I mean you’ve picked out one for Anna. I want to surprise Sam”

 

“Yeah, sure I’ll help you. We could go looking tomorrow since were going to be in Tucson for a couple days” he said, “When are you going to pop the question?”

 

“At the end of the tour. During the party” he said.

 

“Hey did you ever get a hold of Talinda?”

 

“No. Jennifer told me she moved back to New York”

 

“Okay. Well, I’m going to head out to the tour bus. See you later” he said then he walked out.

 

After Mike left Chester then noticed that Rob and Phoenix were long gone, he then sat down on one of the chairs near the wardrobe case. He felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. So he took it out and looked at the number. A number with a 212 area code flashed across the screen. Not knowing who it was he still answered it.

“Hello?”

 

“Hey Chester! It’s me Talinda” she said.

 

“Oh hey! I didn’t recognize the number”

 

“It’s okay. Jennifer called me recently and told me that you’ve been trying to get a hold of me. I guess you didn’t know that I moved back to New York”

 

“Yeah, I didn’t. I’m actually on tour right now and at the end of the tour we’re going to have a party. I wanted to know if you want to come down to California for the party, maybe to see Sam again?” he asked her.

 

“Sure I’ll go. I’m glad you asked me because I’m going to be moving back to California again”

 

“That's good…I’ve got to go now but I’ll call you back”

 

“Okay, talk to you later” she said before he hung up.

 

When he ended the call he put his cell back in his pocket. He grabbed his bag and walked over to the door. Once he got it open he saw Bob Dallas standing there.

“Hey. I saw the guys and they told me you were still in here. I came to tell you were leaving in a little bit”

 

“Okay.” He walked out with Bob towards the tour bus. When he got closer he saw Mike and Phoenix standing outside of the bus.

Continued Chapter 15

 

“What took you so long?” Phoenix asked him.

 

“You guys know that I been trying to get a hold of Talinda right?”

 

“Yeah. What about her?” Mike asked.

 

“She just called me”

 

“Is she coming down?” Phoenix asked.

 

“She said she would but I’ll have to call her back later” he said. He then noticed that the tour bus he, Sam, Mike, Anna, Phoenix, and Linsey were using was the only one there. As you may know, when Chester and Sam were married and whenever he would take her on tour they would have there own tour bus. Since the guys brought there wives along on this tour Chester let Mike, Anna, Phoenix and Linsey use the same tour bus he and Sam were using, “Hey where’s the other bus?” he asked.

 

“They left ahead of us. So Bob going to riding with us” Mike said as they started getting on the bus.

 

When they got on, Chester saw that Sam, Anna, and Linsey were sitting on the couch, talking. Draven was sitting at the table coloring away with Leticia. ‘Looks like he found something new he likes’ he thought to himself. Once they got off the steps of the bus, he went and set his bag down on his bunk where he felt the bus start up. After setting his bag down, he walked back out to where everyone was sitting. Thirty minutes later, they arrived at the hotel and saw that the other tour bus was there. The guys grabbed their bags that where in there bunks and put them on the couches. When Chester set his bag down he watched Sam as she was getting Draven’s shoes on. As soon as they all got off the tour bus the other guys came off there’s. Bob came out of the hotel to give them the card key to there room’s.

“Okay guys listen up, were going to have three connecting rooms. Chester and Sam will have there room connecting with Draven and Leticia, so they could have there own room. Mike and Anna’s room will connect with Phoenix and Linsey. Brad and Monica along with Rob will connect rooms with Joe and Karen. Alright? So here the card keys to your rooms” Bob said handing Chester, Mike, Phoenix, Brad, and Joe the card keys to there room.

 

Once Chester got the card to his, Sam, Draven and Leticia’s room they went and got the rest of their bags. They then headed up to their room. When they got in, they set there stuff down and since it was late Sam took Draven from Leticia so she could get him ready for bed. After Sam finished, Draven and Leticia went into the other room leaving the door that connected to there room open.

Chester then went into the bathroom and changed. He thought, to himself, about taking Draven with him and Mike tomorrow. That way he could also help pick out a ring for his mom. Once he was finish changing, he came back out seeing that Sam was already on the bed watching T.V.

“Sam, tomorrow Mike and I are going to do something. I want to take Draven with me so you can have sometime to yourself” he told her when he joined her in bed.

 

“That’ll be great. That way you and Draven could spend more time together” she said looking at him, “What is it that you and Mike are doing anyways?”

 

‘Oh shit, think Chester! Come up with some excuse! Don’t tell her you’re going out to buy her an engagement ring!’ Was all that his brain kept shouting to himself, “Chester? What are you guys going to do tomorrow?” Sam asked him again.

 

“Oh, Mike’s looking for an anniversary ring for Anna” he said, ‘Great now she's going to think something really is up’

 

“But why would he do that now? They got married in May” she said.

 

“I think he said something about it being for when they started dating.” ‘Please drop it. Let’s not talk about it anymore’ he thought to himself.

 

“Okay” she said leaving the conversation alone.

Chapter 16

 

So sorry about the long wait. Updates now will be coming regularly, now that the semester is over for me. I really hope that everyone enjoys this update and the new direction I'm taking the story too.

I also want to thanks MrsBennington-Delson, geeko, Jackie, and X...Re-Arranged...X for all the reviews. With out them I don't think I would of kept doing this.

Two Weeks Later

Los Angeles, California

 

It’s been two weeks since being in Tucson. After doing that show there, there were four more cities to go before the end of the tour. Since being in Tucson, the guys started planning for a party at the end of tour for their hard work on the tour. Ever since they left Tucson, Sam has been noticing Chester acting different, not in a way that he doesn’t love her anymore because he still does, but in a way like he was nervous about something and Sam didn’t know why he was acting like this.

“Hey Sam are you okay?” she heard Anna yell out to her as they were standing off the side of the stage watching the guys perform their last show.

 

“Yeah. I’m fine” she yelled back out to her.

 

Once “One Step Closer” was over they stayed on stage until most of the fans had left the arena. After some of the fans left, they walked off the stage going over to where Sam and Anna were at. When Chester saw Sam, he walked over to her without saying anything and grabbed her hand. He started walking with her as the rest of the guys started walking towards the dressing room. As soon as they reached the dressing room, everyone walked in. Walking into the dressing room, Sam saw that there was a cake on a table that was in the room and that there were more chairs. She then noticed that Draven was with Leticia and the rest of the road crew along with Bob Dallas was there too.

“Cake!” she heard one of the guys shout out.

 

“Is this the party that you and the guys have been planning?” she quietly asked Chester who was still holding her hand.

 

Letting go of her hand, he answered her question, “No, there’s going to be a bigger one after this one. This is just for us as a band with the road crew and Bob Dallas since the road crew leaving right after this.”

 

After Chester told her that, he then told her he would go and get some cake for them and told her to go sit down on one of the chairs. Once she sat down, she watched him walk over to the table and saw Draven stand next to him. She then felt someone sit next to her. Taking her eyes off of Chester, she saw that it was Anna. They then got to talking. Sam moved her eyes and saw Draven come over to give her a plate of cake.

“Here. This for you mommy!” Draven said giving her the plate.

 

“Thank you” she said taking it from him. Once she had it he ran off back to where Chester was. Sam turned back to Anna to finish what they were talking and found her not there. ‘Okay’ she thought. She picked up the fork that was on the plate, but before she got any of the cake on her fork she saw something silver on the cake. Knowing that it wasn’t apart of the cakes frosting she put the fork down. Not caring about getting any of the frosting on her fingers, she picked up what it was. What she found it to be was a ring, but it wasn’t just a normal ring, it was an engagement ring.

 

“Oh my god” she let out in shock nearly dropping the plate. Luckily, she was able to save the plate by holding onto it tighter. She then set the plate down on the ground next to her. Still in shock about the engagement ring, she looked up at Chester. He slowly walked up closer to her. When he reached her, he got down on one knee.

 

“Sam, I know that our first time didn’t really work out. When we did separate I realized that I didn’t want to lose you and I knew that there might not be another chance in us being together again. When you were in the hospital a while ago I realized how much you really do mean to me. I was glad that we did give each other a chance at being together again, but what I’m trying to ask you is…” he paused for a little bit, “Samantha will you marry me again?”

 

Since she was still in shock that he was proposing, she just sat there not knowing what to say. She could hear some of the guys telling her to say something. Snapping out of her state of shock she shook her head, “Yes, yes I’ll marry you” she said.

After accepting the proposal, he took the ring she was holding and wiped the remaining frosting on a napkin that he had with him. Then he took her left hand and slipped the ring on her finger. Once he got the ring on, he leaned in and gave her a kiss. As she returned the kiss back, she could hear all the guys clapping. When they pulled away all Sam could do was smile.

 

“All right guys, I hate to break up the happy moment but it's time to go and show up to the other party” Bob Dallas said. After he said that Sam got up out of the chair with Chester’s help by holding onto Chester’s hand after she got up. Draven then came running up to Sam and grabbed onto her leg, hugging it.

 

“Mommy! I’m glad you and daddy are getting marries again” he said letting go of her leg. Letting go of Chester’s hand, she then picked Draven up.

 

“Mommy’s glad too” she said.

 

“Guess what mommy?” he asked.

 

“What?”

 

“I helped daddy pick the ring for you with Mike too” he said.

 

“Aw…you did? I love it” she said as she saw some of the guys walking out of the dressing room. Sam kept holding Draven in her arms as her and Chester walked out following the guys. When everyone got outside they all got onto one of the tour buses to take them down to the hotel where the other party was being held at.

As the tour bus pulled up to the hotel everyone started getting excited about the party before the tour bus even came to a complete stop. When the tour bus did stop, everyone then started getting off as fast as they could and started heading to the party. Sam handed Draven to Leticia so she could take him up to their hotel room since everyone was going to stay at the hotel for one night, so no one would have to worry about having to go get home tonight and that way they could drink all they wanted. After Leticia took Draven, Sam and Chester got off the tour bus and walked towards where the party was at inside the hotel. Once they walked into the room Sam saw that Chester was looking around the room like he was looking for someone.

Continued Chapter 16

 

“Sam there’s someone I want you to see” he said taking her to the person that he wanted her to meet. As she was about halfway close she was shocked to see that it was Talinda.

 

“Talinda what are you doing here?” she asked looking her up and down to see if anything changed about her. Her eyes then landed on her stomach. She could tell she was pregnant. ‘No please tell me that’s not Chester’s. He wouldn't do that to me, would he?’ she though to herself ‘Your wrong Sam. He would do something like that to you’ a voice said in her head.

 

“Sam are you okay?” someone asked.

 

Shaking her head she saw it was Talinda who asked her the question, “Yeah. I’m fine” she said in a calm voice, ‘No your not Sam and you know it.’ the same voice in her head said and she tried to ignore it, “It’s good seeing you again” she said giving her a hug, ‘No it isn’t Sam! She’s here to ruin your future with Chester again’ the voice said as she pulled away.

 

“Yeah. It’s good to see you too, Sam” Talinda said, ‘She's not glad to see you, she just wants Chester all to herself again’ the voice inside her head continued to say.

 

“Um, I’m starting to feel really tired all of the sudden. I think I’m going to go up to the room maybe I’ll see you some other time” she said, ‘Like I’m going to miss you at all’ she thought to herself when she turn to face Chester, “Chaz I’m going to head up to the room, could I have the card key?”

 

“Yeah. Sure” he said pulling it out of his pocket and handing it to her.

 

Once she got the card key, she walked out of the room and walked over to the elevators, waiting for it to open up so she could get to there floor. When it did open, she got in and pressed the button for the third floor since that’s were her and Chester’s room was on.

‘Samantha don’t you ignore me! You know that the baby Talinda, your so-called friend, is carrying is Chester’s.’ the voice said “No… no it isn’t” she said to herself out loud leaning back against the elevators walls “Chester would never cheat on me. She’s with someone else and there having a child together. She lives in New York there’s no way her and Chester could of…”she kept talking to herself stopping when she realized something, ‘Yes Sam you believe me now. They did it when you guys were in New York for a couple days’ the voice said. ‘And she's going to pay for having Chester cheat on me and that baby is going to be mine and Chester’s when I’m finish with her’ she thought to herself as the elevator came to a stop and the doors open.

Smiling about the plan, she walked out of the elevator and down the hallway to her and Chester’s room. When she reached the door, she slid the card in and opened the door walking into the room letting the door close behind her.

“Sam? Chester? Are you guys back?” she heard a voice ask coming from the joined room.

 

“It only Sam! I’m not feeling well Leticia just keep Draven in the room” she said walking over to the bed sitting down. She then took off her shoes and lay down on her side, facing away from the door.

Once her head hit the pillow she just stayed laying there without closing her eyes. She stared straight at the wall when a different voice filled her head, ‘Your so beautiful Samantha’. She didn’t say anything to herself but buried her head into her pillow trying to make that hunting voice go away. When it did, she moved her head from the pillow and went back to looking at the wall. She slowly moved her left hand up to see the engagement ring on her finger. Only looking at it for a little bit she drop her hand back down. She kept staring at the wall not even closing her eye when she heard the door open. She didn’t even turn around and just acted like she was asleep since her back was facing the door. A few minutes later after the door open, she felt Chester getting onto the bed.

“Sam, I hope you’re not mad about Talinda being pregnant because…” was all that she wanted to hear. ‘Oh I’m not mad at you, Chester, for you cheating on me and getting Talinda pregnant. I’m mad at Talinda, but don’t worry she wont even live to see her baby’ she thought to herself. She then closed her eyes settling into a deep sleep.

Chapter 17

 

As soon as the last song ended the tour was over. The band stayed on stage to greet some fans until about half of the fans were gone. They then walked off the stage going to where Sam and Anna were standing at. When Chester saw Sam, he walked over to her without saying anything and grabbed her hand. He started walking with her as the rest of the guys started walking towards the dressing room. As soon as they reached the dressing room, everyone walked in. In the room, there was a cake on the table. More chairs were also put in the room. Everyone was in there from the tour, the road crew and Bob Dallas too. Chester was glad that his son was there since he was going to help him with giving Sam the ring, and boy was he happy that his parents were going to be getting married again.

“Cake!” Joe yelled out. Chester shook his head as the band walked further into the room.

 

“Is this the party that you guys have been planning for awhile?” Sam quietly asked him. He started to get nerves about the whole proposal. Hoping that it wasn’t showing he let go of her hand.

 

“No, there’s going to be a bigger one after this. This is just for us as a band with the road crew and Bob, since the rest of the road crew is going home right after this” he said.

 

After Chester told her that, he then told her that he would go and get some cake for them and told her to go sit down on one of the chairs. Once she sat down, Draven came up and stood next to him. He looked over his shoulder to see if Anna was sitting next to her so she would distract her from watching him. Seeing that she and Anna were talking, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small black ring box. All the guys and wives knew what he was going to do. He opened the ring box taking it out, setting it on top of the piece of the cake that he had already cut out.

“Daddy, I want to give mommy her cake” Draven said after he finished putting the ring on the cake.

 

“Sure, you can give it to mommy” he said grabbing a napkin putting it in his pocket so that he could wipe the frosting off the ring. He then handed Draven the plate and watch him walk over to Sam as she watched Draven walk up to her. He then gave her the plate as Chester saw Anna get up from her chair going back over to Mike since she knew that she was no longer needed. Once Draven gave Sam her plate, he ran back over to Chester and stood next to him. Making sure that Leticia was near Draven he went back to watching Sam as she was just about to go eat her cake. She stopped before getting any on her fork and set it down. Then he saw her go to pick the ring off the cake…

“Oh my god!” he heard her let out as he saw her almost drop her plate. After she set the plate on the floor she looked up at him. Chester then took a deep breath and started walking slowly toward her. When he reached her, he got down on one knee.

 

“Sam, I know that our first time didn’t really work out. When we did separate I realized that I didn’t want to lose you and I knew that there might not be another chance in us being together again. When you were in the hospital a while ago I realized how much you really do mean to me. I was glad that we did give each other a chance at being together again, but what I’m trying to ask you is…” he paused for a little bit, “Samantha will you marry me again?”

 

For a while she didn’t say anything to him ‘She's not going to want to marry me again’ he thought to himself when he heard some of the guys telling her to say something. Then he saw her shake her head, “Yes -- yes I’ll marry you” she said.

After accepting the proposal, he took the ring she was holding and wiped the remaining frosting on a napkin that he had with him. Then he took her left hand and slipped the ring on her finger. Once he got the ring on, he leaned in and gave her a kiss. As she returned the kiss back he heard everyone clapping. When they pulled away he could see her smiling which made him smile to.

 

“All right guys, I hate to break up the happy moment but it's time to go and show up to the other party” Bob Dallas said. After Bob said that, Chester helped Sam up by holding her hand. Draven then came running up to Sam and grabbed her leg, hugging it.

 

“Mommy! I’m glad you and daddy are getting marries again” he said letting go of her leg. Letting go of Chester’s hand, she then picked Draven up.

 

As she and Draven where talking the guys came up to him and gave there congratulations. Some of the guys then started walking out of the dressing room. Sam still kept holding Draven in her arms as her and Chester walked out following the guys. He looked back at Talinda and couldn’t help but look at her up and down. His eyes landed on her stomach and saw that she was a little bit bigger. He noticed that she didn’t look bigger anywhere else. ‘No! She can’t be pregnant’ he thought to himself.

“Talinda what are you doing here?” Sam asked as Chester looked at Sam and noticed her eyes landed on Talinda’s stomach, ‘Oh shit, she is pregnant’

 

“Chester asked me to come to the party. I thought it was the perfect time in moving back here” she said but Sam didn't say anything back to her, “Sam are you okay?” Talinda asked seeing that she was in a daze.

 

“Yeah I’m fine” she said in a calm voice, “It’s good seeing you again” she said giving her a hug.

 

“Yeah. It’s good to see you too Sam” Talinda said as they pulled away.

 

“Um, I’m starting to feel really tired all of the sudden. I think I’m going to go up to the room maybe I’ll see you some other time” she said as she turned to face Chester “Chaz I’m going to head up to the room, could I have the card key?”

 

“Yeah. Sure” he said pulling it out of his pocket. He handed it to her and watched her walked out of the room, ‘Somethings not right about her’ he thought to himself.

 

“Chester are you okay?” Talinda asked him.

 

“Yeah. I’m fine but I’m not sure about Sam. Was it just me or did Sam seem to be acting strange?” he asked her.

 

“She did seem out of it”

 

“If you don’t mind me asking but are you pregnant?” he asked changing the subject and also wanting to know if it was true that she was pregnant.

Talinda just smiled, “Yes I am”

 

“How far along are you?”

 

“Four months” she said.

 

“I didn’t know you got with someone that quick”

 

“Oh no! I’m not with anyone”

 

Chester raised his eyebrows, “Was it a one-night stand?”

 

“No. My baby -- it’s my husbands”

 

“Wait! I thought you told me he passed away?”

 

“He did” she told him.

 

“Then how is it's he’s child?”

 

“We always wanted to have kids but with all our work and consider opening our second law firm we just push having kids back. Then Matthew was diagnose with his cancer, he still wanted me to be able to have his kids so we decided to draw up a will stating that after he died I could still have his kids” she said. He could see her getting emotional talking about Matthew.

 

“Wow! And your okay with raising your baby by yourself?” he asked her.

 

“Yeah. It’ll be hard as I get closer towards the end of the pregnancy especially during the birth. But it’ll all be worth it in the end”

 

“Well I’ll be damn if it ain’t Chester Bennington” a voice said from behind Chester.

 

When he turned around he saw that it was Ryan Shuck. After giving each other the half hug/hand shake he said, “Hey man, I didn’t think you were going to make it”

 

“Will I did. Hey I didn’t know you and Talinda were still together”

 

“Were not” Both he and Talinda said at the same time.

 

“Were not together anymore. I had gotten back with Sam like a year ago. I just proposed to her an hour ago” Chester continued saying.

 

“Congratulations” he said

 

“Thanks. Speaking of Sam, I should go be with her. I’ll see you later Ryan and you to Talinda” he said before walking out of the room. Talinda followed him and stopped him before he got out of the room. He turned around and faced her.

 

“Chester I just wanted to say I’m happy for you and Sam”

 

“Thanks, I’ll give you a call later. Maybe you and Sam could do something then since she wasn’t feeling well” he said to her.

 

“That’ll be great I’ll hear from you soon” she said. Once he walked a way she walked back into the room and was stopped by someone. She saw that it was Rob.

 

“Talinda, hey I didn’t know you were going to be here”

 

“Rob! Hey, yeah, I finally decided to come back” she said before she gave him a hug.

 

When they let go of each other Rob spoke up, “That's good to know. Talinda listen about that night --”

 

“Don’t worry about it. Like I said I have no regrets, unless you're regretting it?”

 

“No -- no, I’m not” he then leaned closer to her ear, “That baby’s not mine is it?”

 

As Rob stood back up straight he watched Talinda's expression, “No! No it’s not yours. I’m sure about that. What kind of question is that?”

 

“I’m just asking because we, you know, we slept together”

 

Out in the foyer, Chester walked over to the elevator pressing the button to have the doors open. As soon as he pressed the button the door opened and he walked in press for the third floor. During the ride up he tried to figure out why Sam took off so fast. Until he thought about how she acted around Talinda ‘Don’t tell me Sam thinks that I got Talinda pregnant’ he thought to himself. A few seconds later, the elevator came to a stop and he got off the elevator walking down toward his and Sam’s room.

When he got to the door he went and grabbed the second card key out of his pocket. Once he got the door open, he walked further into the room and saw that Sam was lying down on the bed. Her back was turned toward him. Since it was pretty late he went into the bathroom to change. When he came out, he walked over to the bed and kneeled on the bed, “Sam I hope you’re not mad about Talinda being pregnant because I want you to know that I’m not the father of her baby” he said to her hoping that she could hear him.

‘Where am I?’ Sam thought the minute she woke up realizing that she wasn’t in her own room or the one she remember being in a couple days ago. As she sat up there was a voice that fill her head, ‘I’ve been dreaming about you for awhile Samantha’ she closed her eyes tightly, ‘No... Stop it... Leave me alone’ she thought to herself bringing her legs up closer to her as she wrapped her arms around them.

 

She didn’t feel Chester move as he got up, “Sam are you okay?” he asked her seeing that she had her arms wrapped around her legs. He moved his hand out and lightly touched her shoulder.

 

“Don’t touch me!” she yelled out jumping off the bed. She sort of calmed down as she saw that it was Chester.

 

“Sam are you okay?” he asked shocked that she just did that.

 

“Yeah. You just scared me” she said trying to play it off.

 

“Sorry about that”

 

“No! It’s okay” she said climbing on the bed to give him a kiss, ‘No I can’t kiss him. He cheated on me’ she thought to herself which caused her to pull away real fast, “I’m going to get ready so we can get ready to go home” she said getting off the bed and walked to the bathroom. She then realized that she was in the same clothes as yesterday. She stood in the bathroom looking at herself in the mirror, ‘I’m going to make everything okay again. Everything will be okay’.

When she came out of the bathroom, she walked to the other room where Draven and Leticia stayed in passing Chester as he made his way into the bathroom. As she came in further she saw Draven sitting at the end of the bed watching T.V.

 

“Good morning Sam, are you feeling better?” Leticia asked when she saw her as she was packing up.

 

‘No not really, but I will be soon once Talinda's gone’ she thought to herself, “Yeah. I’m fine”

 

“That’s good”

 

“Hey buddy, are you ready to go home?” she asked sitting next to him.

 

“Yep” he said.

 

A Couple Hours Later

After checking out and gathering all there stuff, they walked out of the hotel to an awaiting car waiting to take them back to the house. When they got to the house, Sam walked in went and sat down on the couch quietly.

 

“Sam are you okay?” she looked up and saw Chester standing in front of her, ‘No I won’t be fine until Talinda is gone’

 

“No. I’m not feeling well. I think that I’m going too laid down for a little bit” she said getting up and walked slowly towards the stairs. When she did reach the stair she stopped before going up them and looked over to Chester seeing that he was watching her. She then looked away from him quickly and continued walking slowly up the stairs.

Once she reached there room she walked over and sat down at the edge of the bed. She didn’t really feel all that tired, she just didn’t want to be around Chester. Sam then started to look around the room when her eyes fell on a picture that was on the nightstand next to the bed. Picking it up, she saw that it was a picture of her and Chester. While looking at it more the thought of Chester cheating on her came to her mind. Anger filled her and she threw the picture on the floor watching the glass break. She then got off the bed walking slowly towards the dresser that was in front of her and carelessly knocked off all the pictures that were on top of it onto the floor. She turned back towards the bed and grabbed the bed sheets, yanking them completely off the bed and onto the floor. Grabbing the pillows, that become scattered on the bed from her yanking the bed sheets, she threw one pillow at a time starting with the bigger pillows to the smallest one. When she got to the small ones she stopped setting them back down on the bed.

After setting the pillow down she walked into the bathroom and walked up to the cabinet, opening one of the drawers all the way out that she pulled it off the tracks causing the drawer to fall to the ground and everything to fall out of it. She turned her head towards the door. When nothing happen her eyes went back to the pile on the floor landing on a pair of scissors. Slowly she knelt down and carefully picked up the scissor off the floor holding it in her hand looking at it. Then she got up and walked back into the bedroom and grabbed the small pillows off the bed. Without thinking of what she was doing she stabbed the scissors into the pillow, tearing it open, making all the feathers come out of it and onto the floor.

She stopped tearing the pillow open when her eyes fixed on the beads hanging over the closet door that she dropped the pillow and scissors and walked over to the closet. Walking through the beads and into the closet she slowly ran her hand over her clothes. Suddenly she stopped running her fingers halfway through her clothes and grabbed one of her tops and yanked it off the hanger. Soon after that she started yanking all her clothes off there hangers throwing them onto the floor, not even touching Chester's clothes. After doing that to her clothes she grabbed a holed of Chester’s shoes and threw them onto the floor also. She turned around and faced where all the jackets where hanging at and yanked them off there hangers causing two of the blankets that were on the top shelve to fall down on the floor. As soon as they fell to the floor she noticed something shiny on the pile and saw that it was a gun. Not thinking about how it got there she picked it up and looked at it for a little bit. Then she walked out of the closet and out of the room walking down the stairs when she heard Chester’s voice talking to someone.

“I hope that she’s okay, Talinda” he said as she walked in the living room seeing that he was talking on the phone as his back was facing her.

 

Once she heard him say ‘Talinda’ she picked up her arms aiming the gun at him, “You can't leave” she said.

 

Chester slowly turned around seeing that Sam was holding a gun at him, “Chester, are you ok?” he heard Talinda’s voice asked through the phone as he was holding it away from his ears.

 

“It's Talinda on the phone, isn't it? It's always Talinda”

 

“Sam, what are you doing?” he asked her taking a step towards her.

 

“No!” she yelled out not wanting him to move anymore.

 

Chester stopped, still holding onto the phone, “Ok. You need to calm down. You need to take it easy”

 

“Chester, are you there?” Talinda’s voice asked again through the phone.

 

“Put the phone down Chester” she said to him.

 

“Chester is everything okay? Is Sam in the room?” Talinda asked through the phone again.

 

Chester stood there for a few seconds and then turned towards the coffee table and slowly set it down not hanging it up, “The phones down Sam”

 

“Move away from it” she said still pointing the gun at him.

 

She saw him step away from it, “Okay phones down Sam. You put the gun down and we can talk about what's bothering you” he said taking a step towards her.

 

“No!”

 

“You're upset, Sam. We're going to talk about --”

 

“No -- you don’t understand…how -- how could you do this to me…how could you?” she asked moving her arms a little bit.

 

“Do what to you Sam? What did I do?” he asked not understanding what she was talking about.

 

“Don’t you act dumb with me Chester…You cheated on me with Talinda and got her pregnant!” she cried out.

 

“Sam I didn’t get her pregnant. I could never cheat on you” he said taking another step towards her.

 

“No, I don’t want to hear it…why -- why did you do this to me?” she said lowering her arms. Chester then moved closer to her. Feeling him step closer to her, she quickly pulled her arms back up.

 

“Don’t!” Chester said taking a step back. Sam wrapped her finger around the trigger and pulled it.

 

Talinda who was still on the phone heard the shot go off, “Chester?”

 

BANG, BANG, BANG

 

“Chester!” she yelled into the phone.

BANG, BANG, BANG! After Sam fired the gun, she broke down and started to whimper lowering her arms. Chester slowly walked up to her and grabbed the gun taking it out of her hands. Behind Chester the glass doors of the cabinet on the TV stand where broken, “Come here. Come here. It's all right” he said to her pulling her into his arms, letting her cry, “No, no, you're going to be all right. You're going to be all right”

 

Sam stopped crying and pulled out of his arms, “No, no” she said shaking her head.

 

Chester then took a hold of her arm and glided her to the couch, “Sit down, sit down, sit down. Ok?” he then sat down on the coffee table still holding the gun, “Listen to me. I'm going to help you, ok, Sam?”

 

“No, you -- you can't”

 

“What do you mean? Huh?”

 

“No” she said and stayed silent for a few seconds, “You know what? No, I just figured everything out”

 

“Sam, listen to me, ok?” he said trying to get her attention back to him.

 

“No, I know. It's going to be ok”

 

“Listen to me --” he started to say but Sam cut him off.

 

“I'm going to be all right. I'm going to take care of it”

 

“You listen to me, ok? You need to take it easy”

 

“No, I'm going to show Draven that I'm going to be a good mom. He can always depend on me. And I'm going to be everything that you ever wanted me to be -- a good mother to our child, the love of your life. And we're going to be so happy, just like before”

 

“Ok, you need to lie down for a second, ok?” he said not really sure how her mental state really was.

 

“Hmm”

 

“Seriously, you need to lie down for one second, ok?”

 

“Ok” she paused, “Are you mad at me?”

 

“No, I'm not --”

 

“No, because I can't stand it if you're mad at me”

 

“I'm not mad at you. Just -- you need to lie down, you need to take it easy, and we're going to decide what we're going to do” he said getting up. He then was going to walk out of the room to put the gun away or set it down out of Sam’s reach when there was a loud bang on the door.

 

“Open up! It's the police!” the voice said and then the pounding continued. Chester looked at Sam. Frighten by the loud noise, Sam got up and quickly walked into the kitchen. Making sure that she wasn’t going to come out he clicked the safety on the gun and stuffed it in his back pocket.

 

He then calmly walked over to the door and opened it up, “Is there something wrong officers?” he asked but the two officers dismissed his question and walked into the house, “Whoa. Hey” he said as they walked further into the house.

 

“We got a call about shots being fired, Mr. --” the first police officer said looking around the place.

 

“Bennington” Chester answered for him.

 

“Is everyone all right?” the second one asked.

 

“Yeah, everything -- there's no problem here, ok? So what are you doing?” Chester asked. The first police officer walked into the living room, “No, no, no, not without a warrant”

 

“We don't need a warrant to secure a crime scene” the second officer said also walking into the living behind his partner.

 

“It's not a crime scene, it's my house” he said following them.

 

“What happened here?” the second officer asked Chester seeing the glass door on the cabinet T.V. stand.

 

The first officer looked down on the ground near the T.V. stand, “I've got a bullet casing right here” he called out.

 

“I just -- I had a little too much to drink. You know how it is. Listen, who called here? Is that why you're here, somebody called for the gunshots?” he then saw the second officer heading for the stairs, “What are you doing?” he asked.

 

“Find the kid” the second officer said seeing the gun sticking out of his pocket.

 

“No, no, no, hold on, hold on. My kid is upstairs sleeping” he said stopping the first officer who was starting to head over to the stairs.

 

“I just got to make sure that he’s safe”

 

“My kid will not be frightened!” Chester yelled at the officer.

 

“You're -- you're looking for me” Sam said slowly walking out of the kitchen and into the living room.

 

“Mrs. Bennington, what happened?” the first officer asked Sam seeing that she looked like she was hurt. Domestic violence rang through his head.

 

“No, no, she's a little upset. Listen to me --” he said trying to protect Sam from incriminating herself.

 

“No, I tried to kill Chester”

 

After Sam said that, the two police officers looked at each other and then looked back at Sam.

 

“Sam didn't try to kill me. What happened --”

 

“Yes, I did”

 

“Ok, what happened was I've been drinking, ok, like I told you, and I was -- I came downstairs, I got my gun, I started shooting at the pictures in the cabinet. She -- she has nothing to do with it. She's taking medication to try to sleep and she's a little confused, so I'm just going to go ahead and take her upstairs. Come on” he said going up to Sam.

 

“You're a liar, Mr. Bennington” the second officer said to him.

 

“Wow, that's not a very nice thing for him to say” Sam said.

 

“Ok, ok, sit down for a second, ok?” he said to Sam and made her sit down on the chair. He then turned to face the officers, “You need to get out of my house”

 

“Chester, we need to look at that gun” the first officer said.

 

“Not without a warrant” he said nastily to them.

 

The front door open and closed and Talinda came running into the living room, “Chester? Oh, thank god you're ok. What happened?” she asked.

 

Chester quickly walked up to her, stopping her from coming in any further, “Nothing. Nothing” he said turning his head to face the officers.

 

The second officer then took out his hand cuffs, “Samantha Bennington --” he started to say as he sat down on the coffee table that was in front of her.

 

“Hey, you don't have to do it” Chester said wanting to stop him.

 

“You’re under arrest for the attempted murder of your husband --” the second officer said starting to read Sam her rights as he put one hand cuff on her wrist and then the other one. Sam started to rock her self back and front in the chair.

 

“You’re going to let him?” Chester yelled out to the first officer who stopped him from getting any closer to his partner.

 

“You have the right to remain silent…”the second officer continued to say ignoring Chester yelling at him.

 

“You’re going to let him do this, huh?” Chester yelled out again.

 

The first officer then turned to face him, “Mr. Bennington it's police procedure, she tried to kill you. I advised that you get a lawyer”

 

“Anything you say can and will be use against you in the court of law, you have the right to an attorney. If you can’t afford one, one will be provided for you. Do you understand these rights?”

 

“No, she does not understand!” Chester yelled out

 

“Do you understand what I just told you?” the second officer asked her again.

 

“Yes. I understand everything now” she said shaking her head. Chester watched Sam as he took a step back to calm down.

 

“Then let's go downtown” the second officer said getting up off the coffee table and started to pull Sam up.

 

“No, no, no” he said and took a step closer towards them, but the first officer stopped him.

 

“Chester --” Sam said not wanting to go with them.

 

“No!” he yelled out struggling with the first officer.

 

“Chester, Chester, don't let them take me!” Sam cried out.

 

“Let her go!” he yelled to the second officer.

 

“Chester!” Sam continued to yell out for him.

 

“You're scaring her!” Chester yelled out.

 

“Chester, please don't let them take me!”

 

“You're scaring her!” he yelled out again. Suddenly Sam stopped crying out for Chester.

 

“Let's go” the second officer said to his partner.

 

“Mrs. Bennington?” the first officer asked as he noticed it to. Something definitely was not right about her.

 

“Let's go” the second officer said as he started to walked Sam out of the living room. Then the first officer followed him out of the house.

 

After Sam was taken out of the house, Talinda walked up to Chester. She didn’t know what to think of Sam’s little show. She wasn’t sure if she believed that it was real. Before she could say anything to him Leticia voices yelled out for him, “Chester!” they heard “Chester come upstairs” Leticia yelled. Chester then took off up stairs thinking that something happen to his son. Talinda followed closely behind him. When they reached the top of the stairs they found Leticia standing near Chester and Sam’s room. Chester walked up closer to the door and was shocked at what he saw. The room was completely trashed.

 

“Oh my god” Talinda softly said. He then walked in a little further and stopped when he heard a crunching noise. So he stopped and looked down at the ground seeing that he was stepping on some glass of a picture.

 

Chester then came back out into the hall way, “Leticia can you do me a favor? Can you take Draven to Sam’s mother's house?”

 

“Yeah sure. Chester what happen?”

 

“Sam -- I don’t know what happen. She just lost it. I think it's because she’s been thinking that I got Talinda pregnant. I just don’t want Draven to be scared by his mother”

 

“Okay I’ll take Draven to her moms”

 

“Thanks Leticia” he said as she walked to Draven’s room.

 

“I got to go. I got to go to the LAPD” he said facing Talinda.

 

“Is there anything you want me to do?” Talinda asked.

 

“I want you to…I want you to try and get Sam out” he said looking straight at her.

 

“Chester, I can’t. It’ll be too personal of a case for me. I’ll get one of my partners to take the case”

 

“Okay then let’s go down there” he said as he started to walk down the stairs.

first,thanks for the dedication..I really appreciate it since this chapter holds my favorite #: 19.

 

I wonder what draven will say about his mom when he finds out.damn police..why do they always interfere with other people's lives?

I really like the way the story's made.it has different turns which keep me hanging,and there's this mixture of humor,drama and thrill that catches anyone who read it,especially me.I think ill read TLATC again after this..

 

jeeez, I cant print it..I got short ink in the printer,damn
