Personally I have something against B.C. Rich idk why so this is biased...

The non-bolt on (glued/in-line) necks give a fuller sounds...but on the down side if you can't replace the neck if you break it like you can on bolt on...

my friend recently got that very B.C. Rich guitar, and he's absolutely in love with it. based off that, i'd say get the B.C. Rich.

Personally save up about $530 and buy a guitar on the PRS SE line (for example: PRS SE Custom, SE Standered, SE Trimoni, SE Soapbar II)

 

I have a PRS SE Custom I think PRS is a great company and the SE line is suppose to be best guitar in the $400-600, and sounds great thats the two reasons I bought mine.

 

What really matters is what kinda of amp do you have?

Yeah. A crap guitar with an awesome amp is way better than a awesome guitar with a crap amp. The best thing is to meat halfway. Decent guitar with a decent amp.

 

Also, BC Rich is not a guitar gutiar company (the lower/middle-end ones), so either it's your friends first guitar, or he doesn't know much. BC Riches are made with poor materials.

 

And actually, there's no different between a set neck, and bolt on. The sustain thing is just a myth. And bolt on allows better fret access usually. But still, I'd rather have a set neck, or neck thru.

their acoustic guitars aren't that great, but the electric guitars are quite good. it's not his first guitar, and he and i both know a good deal about guitars.

1) You tap a hell lot better than I do. I suck at tapping, but I just now switched to lead guitar about 2 weeks ago from rythem so give me some slack

 

2) Is the clicking in the background like some metronome or just click from recording?

 

3) I like the "Enter Sandman"

 

4) Do you need a nice sound card or plugin to use Guitar Rig? I thought I read you need something for it.

I have Dunlop picks with a whole punched out in the center for better grip.

 

I may not be great at finger tapping but I can bend and virbarto like no other...I get many complaments on it by other guitarists

About Guitar Rig... I'd say you need a pretty nice sound card. I mean, I've only got onboard sound (I don't even have a soundcard) and it works okay. Just downlaod ASIO4all driver and there will be no delay.

 

But it's a pretty hard program. It tooks me weeks to find a tone that was decent. Then I just kept trying new stuff and setting and now I really like my tone.

 

If you buy the program, a sound card doesn't matter because it comes with Rig Kontrol 2 (a huge pedal which you plug your guitar into, and plug the pedal into the comp) and it acts as one... but if you download it, then you should get the ASIO4all driver.
