Wait for the new Linkin Park CD till '07?

On the German Linkin Park site they say that we probably have to wait for the new LP-CD till early 2007.....

I heard before that they're going to release it this July. But I don't think it will be possible[ it's already August..]. What can be the problems?

im thinking come holidays LP will release. that or once they get a few things out of the way- touring, maybe make a video or 2, do a lil pre promo, then release the album

Well the new album is scheduled for this year. So let's see if they keep their promise to us.

well they are leaving studio for japan so maybe its in mix and mastering phase because the label has to do stuff, promotion has to be done (Guess that goes under label), and making of all discs take a long time....so it could just be getting mix and mastered rgiht now

but ATLEAST they should have released a single song ... u guys remember phoenix said that next Machine Shop CD will have a new track cuming in the new album ???

they canned the machine shop cd i have heard because outcome wasn't good...and CD has to be mixed and mastered before you can release a song or it will sound like shit to say the least

well i know i m really gettin' possesive at this, but it really pisses me off when i check lp.com EVERY DAMN DAY and still no signs of stuff ... for once they didnt had posters for some days, n i got excited, but da next dae it was again filled with those f***ing posterz again !!

 

Edit: i also read Brad's comment on the posters was "Enjoy the construction of the website" on Official LP forums, but i donno wht to enjoy on dose freakin' posterz

no point alot of stuff happends after mixing and mastering album art might not even be done anyway.....and Mixing and Mastering takes time to get right sound so that has to be done or close to being done BEFORE release date can be developed

No they tour during mixing and mastering....sound engineers work on that

well 2 ways the producer has input but mixing and mastering takes a whle so they should be back in time to give input a lot of times ppl will adjust for big bands like LP....but record labels opion matters more....example of record label power:

 

they can force you to release a greatest hits like they did limpbizkit
