Peterdea Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 does anyone have any info on xero's live show, i know the mp3s are virtualy impossible to find. i am doing a massive school report on linkin park, and i am going into detail as far as i can. Quote Its good to be back.
Hahninator Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 the show isn't even confirmed to have been taped for real. a copy on ebay was sold for about $2,000 but the setlist provided for it has been proven fake, so we don't know if it is real or not. it's most likely fake. xero played a lot of live shows...we know they played at the whiskey and at the lynus brooke club. they opened for SOAD and Cypress Hill, then the other show they opened for 2 bands (someone get those for me ) ill fill you in on more when I get home, its 7am (School is coming lol) Quote
Peterdea Posted September 14, 2006 Author Posted September 14, 2006 thanks, any info is gold  Quote Its good to be back.
Th30racl3 Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 How do you know the setlist is fake? Quote [broken External Image]:http://www.erasethepain.info/theuntitled/Images/banner1.jpg
Hahninator Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 you can prove it isn't real. do you see Mark Wakefield having any writing credits for In the End or With You? nope Quote
FireHawk Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 but the The Dust Brothers have credit on With You Quote Please when you see spam just click the http://www.sucksbbs.net/data/MetaMirrorCache/4b273718b96672a5cde873c5a972756e.gif graphic and type "Spam" into the text box then click report. FireHawk Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Sry off topic but does anyone know why The Dust Brothers have credit for songs on Hybrid Theory (LP) on some songs and why the credits read: Music by: LINKIN PARK, MARK WAKEFIELD, DAVE FARREL on APFMH and Forgotten....why did dave get credit? Quote Please when you see spam just click the http://www.sucksbbs.net/data/MetaMirrorCache/4b273718b96672a5cde873c5a972756e.gif graphic and type "Spam" into the text box then click report. Good question..... you can prove it isn't real. do you see Mark Wakefield having any writing credits for In the End or With You? nope maybe he didn't write any of "In The End" and "With You" but still sung them, Quote Its good to be back.
Hahninator Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Sry off topic but does anyone know why The Dust Brothers have credit for songs on Hybrid Theory (LP) on some songs and why the credits read: Music by: LINKIN PARK, MARK WAKEFIELD, DAVE FARREL on APFMH and Forgotten....why did dave get credit? The Dust Brothers helped write With You. Mark Wakefield helped write Esaul (APFMH) and Forgotten, and Dave got credit because even though he was in the band, they weren't sure if he was totally 100% committed...eh, it's hard to explain. He was touring with Snax so he couldn't do bass on the album (hence why Brad did 9/10 of it and Kyle did OSC...), so he got writing credits for the songs lol Quote
Peterdea Posted September 21, 2006 Author Posted September 21, 2006 why didnt i think of that?!? Quote Its good to be back.
Hahninator Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 don't worry, I had to learn it too lol no idea where I learned that though. probably my friend Anthony years ago...some from Nick. hell, I learn almost everything from Nick lmao Quote

Hahninator Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 it was purchased for $2,000. it could be real, it couldn't. all I know is that setlist is right lol. Quote
Peterdea Posted September 21, 2006 Author Posted September 21, 2006 thanks for all the info dude, its been a huge help! Quote Its good to be back.

Peterdea Posted September 21, 2006 Author Posted September 21, 2006 a little off topic, ive heard many dif reasons for Mark Wakefield leaving the band, stuff like: -He was booted because he wasn't what the band needed -He wanted to go solo -He did'nt want to take the band any further -He wanted to manage Taproot instead does anyone know the true reason? Quote Its good to be back.
HaziLPTonz Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 officially, LP didnt see him as the right lead singer, not dynamic enough or w.e, since they were chasing a recording contract, they needed a more dynamic lead singer. so i think they booted him...although its more likely they actually just parted ways wen the band wasnt really going anywhere Quote http://www.sucksbbs.net/data/MetaMirrorCache/ddd296f8f90eca79dbafae096b6d28b3.jpg
Peterdea Posted September 21, 2006 Author Posted September 21, 2006 hmm, this is something to think about! Quote Its good to be back.
UnhingedMouse0 Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 don't worry, I had to learn it too lol no idea where I learned that though. probably my friend Anthony years ago...some from Nick. hell, I learn almost everything from Nick lmao Haha, yeah, Nick is a god. So Mark, where are you on this next question?! Quote [ R.I.P. LPF ]
Hahninator Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Tonz']officially' date=' LP didnt see him as the right lead singer, not dynamic enough or w.e, since they were chasing a recording contract, they needed a more dynamic lead singer.[/b'] so i think they booted him...although its more likely they actually just parted ways wen the band wasnt really going anywhere sure, sorry I didn't see it earlier lol. yeah, the bolded parts = real. noone knows for sure if LP told him to fuck off and gtfo the band or if they just split (lmao.) I'm pretty sure LP told him he wasn't what they wanted really and they needed a more "Dynamic lead singer." your last sentence though is very important. Mark did not leave to become the manager of Taproot. that came later. however, I guarantee if Mark would have been with them for HT, and they would have released HT, I would still be a fan of that band. Mark on the Xero tape is GREAT. Quote
Peterdea Posted September 22, 2006 Author Posted September 22, 2006 i would love to hear him sing like runaway and crawling. that would sound awesome! Another few questions, again a little off topic, How did people obtain the demo tape and How did peopel get the demos of crawling and in the ned, points of authority ect.? Quote Its good to be back.
