Fort_Underground Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Hmmm I went with Make Yourself in the end. Incubus is my favorite band of all time, but when I have to choose, I say Make Yourself. Morning View is a great cd. I love the cover and the back, and the tracks are great. It's a great laid-back West Coast Rock cd. And Mike is nice on the guitar as well. Then theres A Crow Left of the Murder. Probably has the neatest guitar riffs and moves out of all the cds. The cd however is a bit more mainstream than I like. But it does conatin Sick Sad Little World, which is my 2nd favorite Incubus song. However MAke Yourself is just incredible. It opens up great with privelage, then has nowhere fast adn consqeuence as some nice soft rock beats. Then theres my favorite track of all time, The Warmth. That song is incredible. Not so much the music, as everything about that track is incredible. I could listen to that all day and not get sick of it. Then of course there are heavier rock songs on there, like Make Yourself, and Drive. But then you get I Miss You and Pardon Me, which are both great songs themselves and go great right after eachother. And then theres Out From Under There, a great revolution song, and song in general. Sorry about ranting but I just love Incubus. Can't wait for there new cd. Speaking of which, I heard it was gonna be released this year, anyone got any news on that? Edit:Aqueous Transmission is my 2nd favorite song, then Sick Sad Llittle World, although its hard to pick since there all amazing tracks Quote I am the guy on the forums that your conservative parents warned you about Victory not Vengence

pprkuttheory Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I've heard of them but never checkec them out. What kinda genre are they compared to LP? that's a retarded question. just listen to them, and they sound nothing like LP if that's what you're looking for Quote [broken External Image]:http://cdnd.winduprecords.com/strata/banners/strataone468.gif
Vash_the_Stampede Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Not really a fan... Quote Good bye, auf wiedersehen, adiós, sayonara Gone
Peterdea Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 i got a couple of their songs, they were pretty good, but the singers voice isnt really anything to jump for joy about. definantly not one of my favorite bands, but i'll still get more. Quote Its good to be back.

FTboy18 Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Make Yourself is great and is more recognizable. Quote [broken External Image]:http://www.linkinparkforums.com/media/tdk_joker-full_12-8-07.262/full Let's put a smile on that face!
Jeezy Posted September 19, 2006 Author Posted September 19, 2006 Make Yourself is great and is more recognizable. You are totally right with that.... Quote
Fort_Underground Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Of course there most famous is Drive, which to me has amazing lyrics but unfortenatly got whored outo the radio. Warning is another one of their hits which people could recognize. However the non radio hit songs are great. Really if you want to get a feel for what there style is, I suggest picking up either S.C.I.E.N.C.E. or Make Yourself, but if you want a more rock feel then Morning View and A Crow Left of the Murder are up your ally. If you want a really funky sound, then pick up Fungus Amungus. But I warn you, that cd is going to sound incredibly strange if you don't listen to Incubus, hell, that style is odd even for Incubs, but it was there first tracks. But for a starter cd, go with Morning View Quote I am the guy on the forums that your conservative parents warned you about Victory not Vengence
Peterdea Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 uhh yeah... (tries to open limewire up to download more incubus) Quote Its good to be back.
Fort_Underground Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Man I can't wait until Light Grenades comes out. Hopefully Incubus will have the more traditional sound, out of Make Yourself. Sure, ACLOTM was good in guitar parts, but it wasn't the original sound. Well actually, Fungus Amongus was there original sound, and that sounds nothing like them at all now. And by that I mean, completly changing there style. I will say that I hope that Incubus keeps some of the stuff they got now, but my favorite by them was there classic style. A band should never lose their original sound for mainstream. Quote I am the guy on the forums that your conservative parents warned you about Victory not Vengence
