JustCallMe___. Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 This is a movie that some friends and I are making. It's pretty much what you'd expect from a movie with a $9.46 budget, but it does have quite a bit of humor if I do say so myself. These are the trailers for it, tell me what you think! Peterdea Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Haha, thats good. Be sure to let me know when you finish the movie, and where i can get it when you are done. i got a few questions, ---how long do you plan on having it run for, ---do you film each scene more then once and choose the best or just once cause you cant b stuffed? ---how often do you film? Me and my cousen make movies to, we used to do comedies but now we got some really good movie maker programs and an extremely good (i was told it sells for like $1000au) and special effect programs so we are making action movies now. at the moment we are doing a thing about a kid who gets teased and shit and goes nuts and does 1 of those school shootings. yer, anyway, looks good dude, chao Quote Its good to be back.

Right now it looks as the movie will be about 1:15 - 1:30 long. We almost always do several takes to get plenty of angles to make the movie flow better than watching one angle for most of the time. We peice different angles together and seperate the audio for a really awesome flow. We are actually filming tomorrow but thus far, getting everyone together to film has been A HUGE PAIN. We are never all free at one time, someone always has something going on. We have been filming since March and I'd say we get 3-4 films a month. Not all that bad, but we could of and should of been done this summer. That's how things work, though, what are you gonna do? =D Also, I'm interested in seeing some of your work. Let me know if I can get a look someday. Quote ###
Peterdea Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 we are starting the project in a couple of weeks, the advantage fo going to the school i go to is that we can set up sessions where we can use heaps of ppl from different classes as a cast, and we wont have any trouble with it. I'll definantly put it up when we finish, and before that, i'll post my friends movie that he made when i was sick and unable to help... i totaly understand the hassel of getting the whole cast together at once, whats kool is (for us) if someone can't show up, we can still do the scenes, but we have to get that person to do his part at a green wall we have set up so we can do our best to put him into the scene with the program my cousen got. Our movies havnt gone past like a couple of minutes yet either, the one we are going to do though will be like a 15 minute film or so we hope. does the suns light ever tend to piss you off when it changes between takes and looks annoying when its been put together. It's happened to me a lot and i was wondering if you get it as bad (hopefully not though!) another problem i have found when filming is sticking to a-the script/plan and b-not pissing ourselves laughing even after like twenty tries! good luck with your movie mate, its gonna be awesome  Quote Its good to be back.
LPGirl Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 haha that looks so hilarious and fun. good luck finishing it =) Quote

How we deal with the sunlight problem is we use the brightness slider (on the video editing program) to balance the scenes to make them look more authentic. It actually works pretty well. A problem that we do have with the sun, however, is when it's REALLY bright this bright white appears on all light colored things and it looks really cheap. You can actually see that happen on a few parts in the trailers. Yeah, we have a script, but a lot of times I say "guys let's improvise" and sometimes we get a better effect. Quote ###

We are still working out the videos editing program that we have so we only know around a quatre of its abilities. maybe even less. so we arent really up to lighting editors yet, just seperation and stuff. My cousen Tom knows a lot though, he can do special effects so until we work it all out, he'll help us with it. Improvising is funner, but some of the time it can make the movie seem a bit pointless, stupid or just a crappy waste of time, we used to get that a lot. It worked most of the time but we would usualy find one scene that we improvised and we would have to film it many times over, or just remove it. It is still some of the most fun i have ever had though. Once again, good luck with it all, i can't wait  Quote Its good to be back.
