Blitz Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and a Linkin Park fan and i just wanted to raise a topic and get this thread started. So, here the topic. (If you want to) In your own opinion write an analyzation on "Linkin Park - Breaking the Habbit" also you can write an analyzation on any other Linkin Park song have fun  Lyrics: -Linkin Park - Breaking the Habbit- Memories consume Like opening the wound I'm picking me apart again You all assume I'm safe here in my room Unless I try to start again [bridge:] I don't want to be the one The battles always choose 'Cause inside I realize That I'm the one confused [Chorus:] I don't know what's worth fighting for Or why I have to scream I don't know why I instigate And say what I don't mean I don't know how I got this way I know it's not alright So I'm breaking the habit I'm breaking the habit Tonight Clutching my cure I tightly lock the door I try to catch my breath again I hurt much more Than anytime before I had no options left again [bridge:] I dont want to be the one The battles always choose 'Cause inside I realize That I'm the one confused [Chorus:] I don't know what's worth fighting for Or why I have to scream I don't know why I instigate And say what I don't mean I don't know how I got this way I'll never be alright So, I'm breaking the habit I'm breaking the habit Tonight [bridge:] I'll paint it on the walls 'Cause I'm the one at fault I'll never fight again And this is how it ends [Chorus:] I don't know what's worth fighting for Or why I have to scream But now I have some clarity to show you what I mean I don't know how I got this way I'll never be alright So, I'm breaking the habit I'm breaking the habit I’m breaking the habit Tonight I personally think this song is about his hardship "Breaking the Habbit" with drugs eg. cocaine. To me when he says "Im safe in my room" it means that he is safe from the outside world therefore he is safe from drugs because he is out of reach for them, unless he leaves the room. "I dont want to be one, the battles always choose" during the time of his rehab he has a choice wether to take the drugs or not and "Inside i realize, im the one confused" meaning he is unable to decide right from wrong and unable to make a decision on wether to take the drugs. Egh, im short on time, this is all ive done sofar... hope u guys can add to it! Quote
