Shadowed Heart Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 The Artemis Fowl Series, has got to be my favorite, with A Series of Unfortunate Events, and Junie B. Jones following right behind, but, as I have noticed, as my brother and I were thinking how great it would be to have a movie for the series, I looked it up on You-Tube, MSN, Google, Yahoo, and Dogpile. Apparently, he has a new book for the series, or at least I would infer it from the title "Artemis Fowl: The Lost Colony", I am thoroughly excited! And better yet, a movie. The rumors for the movie have been almost certainly confirmed by Eoin Colfer himself. He has stated that he has been going over a movie script with the director of the movie. The movie was supposed to be released, or at lease mid-way through production 3 years ago, but, the movie is being shot in Ireland (all human related scenes in the book are in Ireland, except in Chicago, Illinois, in The Eternity Code with Jon Spiro), and The Chronicles of Narnia was also beginning in '03. So it never happened... But they finally started! On Youtube, search for "Artemis Fowl Movie" there are a couple descent 30sec videos there. The cast has begun to be cast, the role for the People (fairies) will all be played by American's, and Mud Men (humans) will be Irish. I saw Butler, Holly, and Artemis's character, Holly's actress is very beautiful! Butler's is almost exactly what I expected him to look like, but Artemis, I've pictured him a cute tall and thin boy, pale, bright blue eyes, and dark hair. Well, the actor, for Artemis Fowl (Aidan Mitchell) is not quite what I expected... Blonde, with a baby-face... Oh well. Anyways, I've pretty excited, and hopeful the movie comes out!
