This is a perfect example of A GW Bushism. Help people in another country and FUCK USA. This is annoying, there are places in the south that were hit by katrina that still are without a proper school, im sure AMERICANS could use this school, im not racist, but why do rich black people feel the need to spend millions in africa. You dont see Sean Connery building a school in scotland. Winfrey, whose own background was disadvantaged, says she regards education as the door to freedom and she hopes these girls will be among South Africa's future leaders. Americans have a bleeding heart for every hurt forigner, go to any city and you will find american schools that could use 40 Million Dollars. ToriAllen Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Our country is wealthy and spoiled and we have countless organizations, charities, and government programs to help those in our country, so I don't see a problem with helping those in other countries, especially in the area of education. My problem with this issue is something she said that no one has complained about... When asked why 99 percent of the students in the school were black (for those of you that don't know South Africa is about 50/50 white/black) she said "I don't have to appease the white people in this country." Now, if a white celebrity said that to or about black people the media would be up in arms. Where is the equal treatment? What is with the double standard? The reason we're in Iraq has more to do with spreading Americanism to one of the few regions of the worlds that's resisting it. And fuck nationalism. If I want to help other human beings, their nationality doesn't matter any more than their race, sex, or religion. Yes, people in the US need help, but that doesn't mean everyone who isn't in the US should be neglected. You sound like an isolationist. Quote

Oil is the inherent evil in this country, work harder at alternate fuels. There are plenty of things. I dont mean to completely cut us off from the rest of the world, i just mean to limit the reliance on outside countries.
