Well, i've gotten back into the photoshopping, having learned a few new techniques. SO, this is going to be where I post my artwork from now on. Comments and criticism appreciated!

 

Pretty old one, almost two weeks:

@Gradon: I tend to refrain from brushes recently, mainly cause i like the tech-style type sigs; they tend to catch my eye more, and I know personally they take a long time to make.

 

@CrazyRobster: Here's my technique:

 

1) Take any abstract/grunge brush set

2) filter>render>clouds on the background

3) brush randomly with the brush set you used on a diferent layer until it looks okay

4) duplicate the layer

5) edit>Transform>rotate 180 degrees

6) select the duplicated layer and mess around with the layer, I tend to use hard light or soft light

7) stick the render you'll use in between the two layers

8) Add finishing touches

 

And there's a sig. Hope that was helpful!

Well, it's been two whole months since i last posted here... So here are some of my more recent designs:

I like the first one...in the second the pic is maybe blended in a little bit too much

The first one is really good. But like Jeezy said, in the second one it looks a little blended, maybe erase so of the brushing of over the render?

@ scotty: I'm a member on effectica.com forums, they're crazy obsessed with tech sigs there... However, they've got really great resources, which include metal styles, patterns, tutorials, etc. I suggest you go there, they're really friendly and the tuts are indepth and go step-by-step. Haffun!

 

I totally forgot about the finishing touches on the SOTW entry (lighting effects, blending, etc). Good luck next week all!

The first one looks cool...but what's up with the border? I mean, corners are not the same...and I don't like that... But everything else...great job!:thumbsup:

 

Yup, the second one 's render is too blended...plus I don't really like the bg...looks kinda crappy...
