HaziLPTonz Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 *snappppp* it was unbelievable, i thought itd be one of those tight encounters, i spose ronaldo and co sort of thought otherwise, chivu and doni were pathetic, carrick was superb, watching the game...it was surreal. roma capitulated and now tmoro bayern have the chance to eliminate the last italian team...cmon bayern! valencia fell apart, especially after their first goal, with such class players like joaquin, villa, morientes they should have buried chelsea...it was a shame, chelsea continue to confound me, they always look dead and buried then they come outta nowhere...well iono who to support now, liverpool or chelsea, as a red devil fan i have a profound hate for both. but it is shaping up as a manu/chelsea duel for all competitions now, FA cup both are in semi finals opposite one another, both are duellling for the premier league...and now theyre paired opposite semis in the champs league Quote http://www.sucksbbs.net/data/MetaMirrorCache/ddd296f8f90eca79dbafae096b6d28b3.jpg
Jeezy Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 wow..what a game...I was totally wrong with expecting Roma to win...lol but I was right with Chelsea... Quote

CARSON, Calif. -- It was just one game, one solid performance against an expansion team, but Chivas USA's game plan worked. Against Toronto FC on Saturday, solid goalkeeping was buoyed by a neat and tidy backline that settled down after a shaky start while the attack stretched the field and combined for a pair of nifty goals as Chivas eased home 2-0 winners. "They worked very good," Chivas USA coach Preki said. "They combined very good and I think it's only going to get better and better." Soccer's field of dreams COMMERCE CITY - Buildings can be icons of progress, signifying the hopes and dreams of an entire city. Such symbolism abounds at 6000 Victory Way, where Dick's Sporting Goods Park is the newest soccer-specific stadium in the country. The 18,000-seat stadium is the home of the Colorado Rapids, but it also stands for much more. "This is a complete dream come true," Rapids coach Fernando Clavijo said. "We have it all. I've been all over the world, and I can tell you a soccer complex of this magnitude is not something you see every day." The $71 million stadium and surrounding 24-field complex is expected to raise the profile of the Rapids and their sport. Gbandi close to return for Hoops FRISCO, Texas -- After missing last Saturday's season opener against Real Salt Lake, last year's defender of the year for FC Dallas, left back Chris Gbandi, could return to the lineup when the Hoops travel to the West Coast to take on the Los Angeles Galaxy Thursday (ESPN2, 9 p.m. CT). Gbandi was one of two key components of the FC Dallas rearguard missing to open the season, along with goalkeeper Dario Sala, who is suspended for the first six games of the campaign. Gbandi suffered a grade two sprain of his ankle on FCD's trip to Brazil in early March, although he was suspended anyway for the opener after receiving a red card in the final game of the 2006 season. Sala earned his suspension in the same match, a loss to Colorado in the Western Conference Semifinals. But on Monday, Gbandi returned to the field, playing 45 minutes in a scrimmage against the University of Tulsa. He will likely be available for selection for Thursday's match at The Home Depot Center and then's Sunday affair with the New York Red Bulls at Giants Stadium. Quote

HaziLPTonz Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 psv got wiped, though not as badly as roma.... ac beat bayern, no surprise there, just that it took the AWAY game to wrap it up surprised me, bayern played well but where EASILY outclassed by a much stronger and maturer ac side. now its ManU v ACMilan and Liverpool V Chelsea Man U V A.C tough tough tough, prolly too tough to call, if man u pull off say...a steady 2 goal win and not concede an away goal we are set for finals, in saying that milan are a very strong team and it took more so blunders from dida and defence rather than bayern skill to leak goals, so it ll be a tough one. Man U having first leg is a blessing for AC as their defensive towers,if they hold united to anything other than a 2 goal margin, should see them through,ac's problems lie in strike force bcoz inzaghi has had alot of leg problems and gilardino hasnt even lookd like scoring anything this season, all rests on kaka, and ronaldo for united. maturity and expierience V youth and speed, we got a classic match up if United halt pirlo and kaka(no easy feat) ACs attacking options are cut to shreds, insaying that, it ll be the same for AC to hold Giggs and Ronaldo, definately giggs as his delivery has been exceptional as of late. chelsea V liverpool, a classic british encounter, on form, liverpool by a nose, althoughn premierleague wise chelsea rule liverpool, liverpool have had a habit of recent seasons to knock off chelsea in important cup matches, coupled with the fact theyre more of an open attacking team should see them just slide in. chelsea are true fighters, as is shown from their last matches. sheva has finally found some rhythm alongside drogba, and on their day, are arguably the 2 best strikers in the world, good strong midfields including Lampard,Essien,Ballack and return of Joe Cole,Arjen Robben...etc facing Xabi Alonso,Gerrard,Pennant and mascherano should be a thrilling duel. joe coles return really gave chelea width at the Mestalla, which turned the tide for them against valencia. another tough one to call, it ll most likely come down to a mistake or a pure moment of brilliance to seperate these too, look for Gerrard and Lamps to try and assert their natural attacking games on the game and the duel between strike forces crouch/bellamy/kuyt against drogba/sheva to be telling factors. All roads lead to Athens, and we are now one step closer!! Quote http://www.sucksbbs.net/data/MetaMirrorCache/ddd296f8f90eca79dbafae096b6d28b3.jpg
Friðbjörn Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Tonz;479366']psv got wiped, though not as badly as roma.... ac beat bayern, no surprise there, just that it took the AWAY game to wrap it up surprised me, bayern played well but where EASILY outclassed by a much stronger and maturer ac side. that's kinda funny. you wouldn't say that if Bayern had taken the chances they had in front of the goal in the first half. if Lell and Podolski had scored from their chances Bayern would've dominated the rest of the game, cause aside from Kaká, Milan is weak right now. Seedorf and Inzaghi are past their prime, although they did definately show a good performance yesterday. but sad as I am to say it being a Milan fan, Man U is too strong for Milan... HaziLPTonz Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 but thats the thing, i AM saying that because bayern DIDNT take their chances. theres no IFs and BUTs about it, regardless of podolski or lell missing one or two chances here and there, the game wasnt LOST because they missed a chance or two, and getting 1 or 2 goals doesnt mean you automatically dominate a game, since considering the players bayern had and the strike force bayern had compared to milan, who effectively had no striker considering inzaghis recent run of injuries, bayern should have dominated anyways. man U and milan is gonna be a close game, although people will lean towards united...shouldnt write off a team like milan, considering how milan clinically surpassed bayern away from home, but its something to definitely look forward to. kaka,pirlo,nesta...V ronaldo, rooney, giggs etc. in AFC news...sydney FC lost to persik kaderi 2-1...which is a real shock considering the indonesian team was completely written off, but hot weather, humidity and delayed game time and monsoonal rains forced FC to play in tough conditions, while adelaide drew 2-2 with korean champions. also, today it was announced Christiano Ronaldo has signed a new deal that will see him play at the Old Trafford til 2012,5 years from now, the contract is reportedly ALOT higher than his original deal which would have seen him through to 2010, it was a revised deal. transfer rumors are rife at manchester, various british mags and soccer sites report players like Micah Richards,Fernando Torres,Gareth Bale,Freddy Adu,Klaas Jan-Huntelaar,Frank Ribery,Nani and Dimitar Berbatov. of course alot of this is innuendo and rumor, but certainly Sir Alex has openly already marked players such as Freddy Adu,Gareth Bale and Nani as future ManU players, while also summer signing target Owen Hargreaves is closer to joining ManU after Bayern president said theyd let go of him for.."the right price",both parties(hargreaves and ManU) have not hidden their desire to link up since Hargreaves made his World cup appearance back in 06 Quote http://www.sucksbbs.net/data/MetaMirrorCache/ddd296f8f90eca79dbafae096b6d28b3.jpg

Milan got the two goals, and by that the upperhand. Being an Italian team, it was always gonna be hard to break Milan's defense down, whether Milan would dominate the game or not. and what I'm saying is, if Bayern had taken the two chances, they would've owned the game. the right price in this case being 25-30 million € Quote [broken External Image]:http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/2784/lpfas08mostintelligentym8.jpg
HaziLPTonz Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 yep, thas what beckenbaur said, manU having already laid out a 20mill euro offer, so im sure an extra 5mill wont matter too much since David gill has got the permission of the glazers to open the coffers a little more for key players like hargreaves and such Quote http://www.sucksbbs.net/data/MetaMirrorCache/ddd296f8f90eca79dbafae096b6d28b3.jpg

Stllmn8j Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 You would be correct, they just always act like their gonna easily win,and the other teams just take advantage of when they let there guard down. Plus, their execution of plays was really sloppy, they'd be going okay, then someone would screw up their part and a Dallas player would easily breakaway, with few people left to defend the goal Quote
