Jeezy Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Personally' date=' I don't think so, because the villains in Wrong Turn are actually those mutant inbred cannibalistic mountain men. Although they sometimes look like zombies, they're not [/quote'] Yeah....but it's still a nice movie.... Quote
shirakawa_otori Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Yeah....but it's still a nice movie.... Oh, don't get me wrong, I thought it was very cool! It was action packed, the creatures were creepy enough, and although the story was a little cliched (we had similar sort of "villains" in movies like Deliverance, The Hills Have Eyes, etc.) I enjoyed the movie a lot. Good gore, tension, suspense and atmosphere, turns out to be a pretty cool horror movie with classic elements:thumbsup: Quote http://www.sucksbbs.net/data/MetaMirrorCache/ae02029e59966e62acb48589e0ad898c.jpg My last.fm | My deviantart
Peterdea Posted January 17, 2007 Author Posted January 17, 2007 Zombie movies are awesome hehe 28 Days Later is definitely one of the best zombie movies out, and Romero's stuff is classic! One of my fave zombie movies is Brain Dead (also known as Dead Alive), by Peter Jackson - way before Lord of the Rings or King Kong were ever made XD That movie is hilarious and gory. Watch recomended to any zombie fan. Also, the Evil Dead trilogy, that besides zombies has one of horrors greatest icons, the hero Ash. Re-animator is another classic, I'm not sure it can be classified as zombie, but there are people being brought back from the dead, so... Dead and Breakfast is a neat little zombie movie from around 2004, and it's also funny and very gory. An enjoyable watch! Cemetery Man is also cool... Versus and Battlefiel Baseball are a couple of good japanese zombie movies, BB is a bit on the silly side, with a lot of singing and comedy going on, but Versus is more serious, with lots of action and of course a stylish hero to kick the zombies' ass But no post about zombie movies is complete without mentioning Shaun of the Dead, the greatest zombie comedy ever and one of my favorite movies of all time! If you're a zombie/comedy fan, than you MUST watch this movie. Thank me later haha Brain Dead is awesome!!!! lmfao Dead Meat is a shitty Irish one i watched yesterday that sucked ass. thoguh, the idea of zombie cows is pretty funny. 28 Days Later is my fav non-zomedy zombie movie (zomedy is a zombie-comedy) but Shaun of the Dead is just insane! Quote Its good to be back.
Clogz Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 My favorite zombie movie of all time is Land Of The Dead. I don't think anything else comes close. 28 Days Later was good yes, but like the newscaster points out in the end of Shaun of the Dead (also a great flick) - - - "and the idea that the outbreak was caused by 'rage' infested monkeys is total bullshit". 'Nuf said, lol. Quote And then I felt chills in my bones / The breath I saw was not my own I knew my skin that wrapped my frame / Wasn't made to play this game XXI
Peterdea Posted January 17, 2007 Author Posted January 17, 2007 Land of the Dead had the best characters in it, and the best actors too! Quote Its good to be back.

shirakawa_otori Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Tonz']i really like the resident evil movies' date=' any news of a 3rd movie??[/quote'] Yeah, and it will be released this year, supposedly on September 21st (in the USA, that is). It's called Resident Evil: Extinction and it takes place 3-5 years after the events on Resident Evil: Apocalipse: "Survivors of the Raccoon City catastrophe travel across the Nevada desert, hoping to make it to Alaska. Alice joins the caravan and their fight against the evil Umbrella Corp." Quote http://www.sucksbbs.net/data/MetaMirrorCache/ae02029e59966e62acb48589e0ad898c.jpg My last.fm | My deviantart

Diary of the Dead is prolly gonna be awesome! Diamond Dead though... i don't like the idea of it... but i'll still see it, cuz i had only heard terrible things about 28 Days Later and it rocked adn i had heard great things about the move "Dog Soldiers" adn that was shit.... HaziLPTonz Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 you know i like the idea of the 3rd resident evil movie...but it gives me the jingles when i hear its another survival of a handful of humans facing a coutry full of evil bastard zombies. not just an isolated incident but the whole WORLD is taken now....=\ but nevertheless i cant wait for it, although isnt alice err evil? coz at the end of no.2 theres a flash of evil? the "spoilers" have her leading earths last heroes and such. what should make it good is that the same company that did the fx on silent hill are doing it for re3, they did a great job on sh, so hopefully they do the same for re3. shirakawa_otori Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 I don't really know, there's no info on Alice being evil (that I found, at least), and I almost don't remember anything from the 2nd movie lol I need to see that again. Didn't get to watch Silent Hill yet, but it's cool that the movie's going to have good fx. Usually I don't think a horror movie necessarily needs a lot of special effects (mood is a big part of horror, and playing inteligentely with mood, location, character development and plot we can have fine horror movies), but in zombie movies there's always a lot of blood and guts flying around, so fx are important. On RE even more, because of all the creatures/zombies, weaponry, action... well, it has a very important visual part. So good fx are definitely an advantage Quote http://www.sucksbbs.net/data/MetaMirrorCache/ae02029e59966e62acb48589e0ad898c.jpg My last.fm | My deviantart
HaziLPTonz Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 i think at the end of re2, you see alice leaving the place with the 2 ppl and at the end you see one of her eyes and i think an umbrella bio sign flashes in her eyes? i cant quite remember, but i do remember thinking that umbrella let her escape on purpose for some reason, maybe shes the cause of the t-virus complete outbreak? altho i doubt it coz theyve come out saying that re3 is gonna have alot of code veronica in it.
