Stenners Posted June 9, 2007 Author Posted June 9, 2007 Thanks =D it's excedingly enjoyable it is incredibly hard to put it down to 15 but do'able, i compramised with my list I just took a small poportion of my most played tracks from said era then saw what ones would work together whilst not trying to repeat artistsl..... choosing one song off of Moon & Antarctica, Cookie Mountain, Chutes Too Narrow & Silent Shout proved to be much harder then I thought =) Quote Delete my account, the is no reason why it should be against standard procediure, do it do it do it. Friðbjörn Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 alright I have my list, but I have yet to compile it. The one stop evil shop - Coral (NOT "The" Coral, it's a different band) (8:50) 3. Hamingjulagið - Miri (3:25) 4. Auto-rock - Mogwai (4:19) 5. In the music - The Roots (4:08) 6. Tale of the runaways - Maylene and the sons of disaster (4:53) 7. Lateralus - Tool (9:24) 8. Fjöll i austri fagurblá - Steindór Andersen & Sigur Rós (6:00) 9. Hunted by a freak - Mogwai (4:18) 10. Arpeggiator - Ensimi (4:44) 11. Beautiful day - U2 (4:06) 12. Bium bium bambaló - Hilmar Örn Hilmarsson & Sigur rós (6:53) 13. The noose - A perfect circle (4:52) 14. Brekkan - Miri (7:48) 15. Friðbjörn Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 haha contrary to what you may think I don't listen that much to that long music, at least not that long on my scale lol. but yeah...it's not exactly my top of the tops list, but it's stuff that I like and think other people should hear, from 00-07. edit: it's 92 mins 37 secs lol I guess you guys will have shorter ones Quote [broken External Image]:http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/2784/lpfas08mostintelligentym8.jpg

Same goes for Sten with Modest Mouse and Sonic Youth. Quote
Friðbjörn Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 ah I see well I didn't take much of their regular stuff. out of three songs two were collaborations. rare treats. I expected Matt to have more Modest Mouse though. Quote [broken External Image]:http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/2784/lpfas08mostintelligentym8.jpg

Toxic1 Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 Hate Sendspace. Takes forever to upload stuff. No Boris, no Godspeed, no Explosions. If anything, the songs I love are too too long. Quote

Toxic1 Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 It would be impossible for me to come up with a best of 00s because of all the artists and songs I could easily swap in and out without batting an eye. So I just came up with a good compilation and if we did this again, I could easily put another one up. I kinda just wanted to get a good flow of songs here without it getting too cluttered up with ultra long tunes. 01 Bark Psychosis - From What Is Said To When It's Read 02 British Sea Power - Apologies To Insect Life 03 Grizzly Bear - Plans 04 Radiohead - The National Anthem 05 M83 - On A White Lake Near A Green Mountain 06 Junior Boys - First Time 07 The Notwist - Solitaire 08 My Morning Jacket - One Big Holiday 09 Wilco - At Least That's What You Said 10 The National - About Today 11 Iron & Wine - Fever Dream 12 Andrew Bird - Weather Systems 13 Do Make Say Think - Hooray! Hooray! Hooray! 14 Broken Social Scene - Shampoo Suicide 15 Mogwai - Stop Coming To My House Sendspace link will be up shortly. Enjoy and discuss. Quote
Stenners Posted June 9, 2007 Author Posted June 9, 2007 ^^ overly clutterd mixtapes aren't fun they discourage the listener to listen to all of the music (especially bands/genres they are unfamiliar with) n will casually skip on. I think 2 - 4 long tracks is bout right. Quote Delete my account, the is no reason why it should be against standard procediure, do it do it do it.
