untitled Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 posted at lpu: Chester speaks with FolhaTeen (Folha de S.Paulo) - Brazil The group doesn't sound more as rap-rock, at least in the majority of the songs of the new record (single “of transistion” “What I've Done”, with launching marked for today, “Given Up” and “Bleed It Out” is the exceptions). Melodic, the album calls the attention for letters elaborated and some ballads, as “In Between”, about treason, and “Valentine's Day”. Of politics songs, the prominence is “The Little Things Give You Away”, one of the best ones of the CD, about the Katrina hurricane and the destruction of New Orleans. this was translated by walxer from lpu Quote my lp item's PICS of COLLECTION my lp audio-video collection

LP In The End Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 So, we're only getting 2 rap/rock songs? :'( I just hope the album isn't full of WID type songs, it's just too soft imo + I like to hear Mike rap not sing Quote [broken External Image]:http://img77.imageshack.us/img77/5948/compcbsig2of5.png i'm my own worst enemy

Quote GONE (Thanks everyone for the good memories)
LPpinkfreak821 Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 I love what I've heard so far. . . . I just o.0 die at a certain thing that I wont even bother mentioning. So those are some songs... huh? thanks untitled. Quote When my time comes, forget what the wrong that I've done Help me leave behind reasons to be missed Don't resent me and when you're feeling empty Keep me in your memory [[it isn't an official goodbye, but I'll be gone for long time]]]
Friðbjörn Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 no rap-rock...well that's them growing musically, changing styles and maturing as musicians. this is better than getting stale. I would personally love for Mike to rap a lot, as on Qwerty, but if he's fine with minimal rapping and wants to focus on being the 5th instrument player, and still being the glue except now more instrumental wise, then I shan't complain Quote [broken External Image]:http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/2784/lpfas08mostintelligentym8.jpg
LPShinodaFM Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 I second that! And I second your second. Which makes 4... right? Anyways... two rap/rock songs? Gee, that's the worst news I've heard all day. I liked WID, really, I did, but there should be a bit more Mike songs. He's the goddamn THE GLUE! I really don't want him to turn into the 5th instrument player... Mike is like...everything :'( It's his Glue-ness. Quote
Friðbjörn Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 he's in a way always been the 5th instrumentalist maybe it's time he changed a bit...I'm not sayin quit rapping, but I mean good bands change all the time, maybe little rap now, and more on the next LP album...who knows we haven't heard the whole thing yet when they say raprock, perhaps they mean more in the direction of their old stuff, more rapcore. they could still make songs that aren't rapcore that still have beats that Mike can rap to... Quote [broken External Image]:http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/2784/lpfas08mostintelligentym8.jpg
LPShinodaFM Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Yea I guess... lol. I just find Mike's rapping kinda define LP a bit more Quote
Friðbjörn Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 can't deny that lol Quote [broken External Image]:http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/2784/lpfas08mostintelligentym8.jpg
Part Of Me Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Does this mean that the album will sound even more different than WID did? I just hope its not all soft, we need some heavy songs, dammit. Quote http://www.sucksbbs.net/data/MetaMirrorCache/06852ec5a10e58d2d2ff5501fa70d41f.jpg

Linkin_lp_park Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 I sure hope there will be screaming on the album:eek: Or else it is really too soft... And if the tracklist was right..12 songs, they better be longs songs then, come on, they had over 150 songs, and then 12 songs on the album?I hope the tracklist was incomplete then.. Scotty B Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 i agree with FRI i mean people are slating the album before it has dropped why dont you leave it will the release and then slate away if you need to Quote [broken External Image]:http://www.freewebs.com/scottyb1/GFXsig1.png PSP is like the innocent do good that gets stuck in jail and PSCS3 is like the huge (_insert race_) guy that rapes it and beats it up and calls it shirley.
untitled Posted April 3, 2007 Author Posted April 3, 2007 i really don't know what to expect: Chester: Before, everything was presented the same way. This time around, Mike [shinoda] is singing a lot more. It may seem like he's not on the record, but he's doing a lot of the harmonics. He also sings a couple of songs alone. We're presenting ourselves in a different way. We've had a hair cut, clothing changes and, here it is, here is a new thing. Quote my lp item's PICS of COLLECTION my lp audio-video collection
Linkin_lp_park Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Yeah i love the haircuts, clothes, and mike SOLO, woot Quote ιη тнє ѕιℓєη¢є σƒ тнє ∂αякηєѕѕ
Jeezy Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 It's gonna be interesting to hear Mike sing a whole song on his own.... Quote
DarknessLover Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Well, I have enjoyed Mike, when he was there. But to be honest I have always loved Chester more. So hearing this album will be a breath of fresh air for all Chester Fans. And from hearing the intro of Valentine's Day, I think that is going to be a Mike S. song. It has that Where'd You Go feel to it. Quote The Park is Back? No way!
