I agree with Friðbjörn. It's more emotional if that's what emo means. But, it's mainly some new stuff that they seem to be trying out. I'm sure that this new album won't sell as much as Hybrid Theory or Meteora. But, it's still a good album.

Yeah, people really do not know what true emo music is. Most of the music and bands people are classifying as emo lately, aren't even emo at all. However, judging from the way the term is evolving lately to include bands of that nature... I guess you could say that overtime the definition of emo is changing. It happens with genre's of music all the time lately. Especially since the new millennium.

Alright I think there is an abuse of the term emo lately... I'm literally sick of hearing everybody bitching at bands or people cause they're emo. We are human beings! We have weak moments, we DO get emotional, we do fall in love, we DO get hurt! Shouldn't songs talk about these feelings too? The moment a singer stops screaming and sings about something more sentimental here comes bitching!! "They're emo ewww the're emo!!" Emo is different... If someone starts singing about how hopeless life is and how death and slitting wrists is the only way and booohooo my life is unbearable I have no reason to exist then YES call them emo, by all means!! But get a grip please... And to answer the question after all this ranting, NO Lp isn't emo!
