allieking Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 what i've done is about the mess we have made of this world and the fact that we should be trying to save it instead of fighting against eachother. Quote [broken External Image]:http://www.inoshishi.co.uk/allie/aa.png

animerocker17 Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Okay kiddies let's discuss this one by one Wake- The song is instrumental but the meaning is in the title Given Up- There's no escape from this point in life, i need help but nobody cares. Ya' know what? F*** it, i give up; kill me. Leave Out All The Rest- When I die, don't hate me, just remember all the good memories and leave out all the other stuff. Bleed It Out- I can only describe the song in this way: death-party rap punk song. I think someones dying or is dead and getting buried. What I've Done- Accepting past mistakes and trying to move on and become something better i'll do the rest later or you know what? you do it Quote
FTboy18 Posted June 17, 2007 Posted June 17, 2007 In Between is about cheating and trying to earn forgiveness by apologizing for hiding it from a loved one. Quote [broken External Image]:http://www.linkinparkforums.com/media/tdk_joker-full_12-8-07.262/full Let's put a smile on that face!
LPShinodaFM Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 Doesn't necessarily have to be about cheating. What I received from In Between was trying to hide something from a loved one and having to cover up one lie with ten other lies. And in the end he is confessing how he was caught up in between all of his lies. Quote
Cyro Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 Any song can have multiple meanings. Chester and others from the band have said before that they keep their songs kind of vague so fans can find their own meanings and relate to the songs in their own way. FireHawk Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 which is a good way to get as many people as possible to like your songs, lol Good ol' LP Any song can have multiple meanings. Chester and others from the band have said before that they keep their songs kind of vague so fans can find their own meanings and relate to the songs in their own way. Yeah I have a different life than all of you so I see songs different then you and we all see them different like Bleed It Out I find way different than what was said earlier. Same with In Between. Jeezy Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 I'm not even sure if there are real or any deeper meanings behind the songs... most of it is abstract and unpersonal Quote

tsinoitcelfer Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 Given Up, is a good Christian Love Song... lol Seriously, Linkin Park's not known for their deep insightful lyrics that you have to think about. Sheek Louchiano Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 I always took In Between as just being caught up in lies and trying your hardest to gain the trust and forgivness Quote
Sheek Louchiano Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 the meanings behind there songs on there first to albums are just what you want them to be about. most of the time i just think of an anime Rurouni kenshin. because when i first got into Kenshin i got into LP. so yeah. but um... meanings behind M2M. heres my thing Wake-Just showing the Change Given Up-No one cares about you, he wants to die. Leave Out All The Rest-Forgetting all the bad things you have done and being remembered for all the good you did. Bleed It Out-Well i think about it as Mike wrote the song. he kept trying as hard as he could but the band just didn't like it. another thing i think about when listening to this song is, that you try as hard as you can but its not good in other peoples eyes. Shadow Of The Day-I think of it being a song about person going off and leaving everyone and everything behind. What I've done- I look at it in three ways. about the world fixing all the problems we've caused. a person forgiving themself for every bad thing they've done. and the band just letting go of there old style. Hands Held High-Not really a way to change the meaning of this song cause its about politics. No More Sorrow-^^^^same Valentine's Day-A friend/Girlfriend dying. In Between- About being caught up in all of your lies In Pieces- Chesters ex wife, ex friends, Ex girlfriends The Little Things Give You Away-Political song so you can't really have another meaning behind it Quote
DarknessLover Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 wrong man Given Up = Understanding Failure and having to live with the fact, just not understanding why Leave Out All the Rest = After living a life of doing the wrong things, he decides it's time to change and do well Bleed It Out = This is the last you will hear of the old LP, going out in a motherfucking bang! Shadow of the Day = After all you're hard work, life will get better What I've Done = Coming to realise all of the wrong things we have done, and now it's time to change for life may end Hands Held High = You're average anti war song, really no reason to explain No More Sorrow = Sick of following the lies that have been told, leading a life of being controlled by higher powers and fuckign sick of it Valentine's Day = The end of a great relationship, and having to pull through everyone elses happiness while you are in a depression In Between = Sorry about lying who you really are. And wanting to take all your lies back In Pieces = Dealing with a girlfriend and then having to be left in the dirt, and confused on what you want The Little Things Give You Away = About being left behind and ignored even though you are in great need and pain Quote The Park is Back? No way!
