Friðbjörn Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 http://www.nowtoronto.com/issues/2007-05-17/music_discs4.php No,this is the worst review I've seen. yeah someone's life sucks pretty bad. he doesn't even have his facts straight. The concept of rap n rock together once was good then the wave of bands such as Limp Bizkit and Papa Roach came along with about as many ideas as a tennis ball with a serious head injury. when it was just stuff like Rage it was good The problem is nu-metal became generic heavy heavy distortion playing the same chords over and over and (in LB's case) non-sense lyrics that made less sense than me running around playing guitar and singing about how my boner get even more erect when ever I see a dog and the taste of concert is good all in one song... it's all too much been the case. too many bands have just played something simple with power chords and heavy distortion or overdrive to make it sound heavy. like they're not realizing there's other ways to combine rap and rock. bands like korn and flipsyde have done different things though. Stllmn8j Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Review is absolutely right no matter how hard you all deny it. you'll understand one day when you listen to more than 5 bands I've got at least 75 on my comp...so your usual arguement tactics aren't going to work here Quote
azemkamikaze03 Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 its wierd to. they keep on saying LP stayed the same when they clearly changed. Quote ¿whysoserious?
FireHawk Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 well technically they haven't changed a whole lot its still pretty repetitive, and lyrics are just a bit more mellow... LP_Soldier Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Yeah, I listen to a crapload of different bands. Linkin Park just happens to be my absolute favourite. And I also happen to love the new album. I know a lot of people don't like it, but that's just their opinion. And, even though it'd be nice if everyone liked it, we can't go shoving our opinions down other people's throats. But, I mean, there's always going to be contrasting opinions about everything. Hahninator Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 I listen to an insane amount of bands and I've never heard a review that bad. Jesus christ whoever wrote that review needs to be fucking pwned in the face lol LP? emo? I wonder if you guys really want me to repost Astat's LPU pwnage 'LP Isn't Emo' post of the decade/flame ^_^ lol Quote
Friðbjörn Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 people stating that they do listen to more than 5 bands doesn't help their cause lol pwned in the face...lol love that expression and I would like to see that post Quote [broken External Image]:http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/2784/lpfas08mostintelligentym8.jpg

I wonder if you guys really want me to repost Astat's LPU pwnage 'LP Isn't Emo' post of the decade/flame ^_^ lol Well the entire concept of emo has been shredded and misused to the point where not a lot people know what it really is anymore. I wonder if you guys really want me to repost Astat's LPU pwnage 'LP Isn't Emo' post of the decade/flame ^_^ lol I would like to see that post/thread... I can see lots of critics or reviews put LP as a trash, emo, trying_to_be_different_without_success, garbage, worst thing ever. A LOT of critics... That's not a coincidence. I guess that 9 "very bad" reviews comes to 1 "good" review. And I agree to most of the critics. In my opinion, this album is the worst thing they could offer to themselves and lots of older fans. Yeah, i know you all won't agree with me...well... Quote [broken External Image]:http://kropla.com/images/croatia_flag.gif Myspace account...yeah, les-be friends :-P

xXMelancholiaXx Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 its thoes "older" fans that got them the record sales they did See that's just it. Everybody is concerned about selling records. That's why I don't like mainstream rock that's the only thing that counts to people. It's about making music they're passionate about. If they're not into making what they did before then they have the right to move on. It shouldn't be about them making fans happy. It should be about them making music that makes them happy. Well see you have bands like that, and then you have bands that don't care about that type of stuff. They make the type of music they like, and if you don't like it don't come to the concerts or buy the albums. You also have to take into consideration that while they maybe losing old fans (who have become disgruntled fans) they may also gain new ones they didn't have before.
