I either always give credit, or take the information use and sum in up in my own words.. But, I don't just copy and paste and say that I wrote it.. Thats just lazy.

I have, once. on a social studies essay I did along with my friend. we basically stole most of the stuff, didn't really put it into our own words, and got an 8,5/10 for it. lol

 

however the lesson kids, is that it doesn't pay off. cause we sure as hell didn't learn jack from doing that

Lol, I only did it once, when I forgot to do my music homework (it was to compose a jazz piece or something) so I just stole one off the internet and changed it a bit.

 

But usually I never do it.

I don't actually do like copy-past-hand into teacher, but I don't always put citations and bibliography. :\

depends on the level of plagiarizing, i only ever take small portions, like a very good sentence that i cant come better up with, other than that i cite all sources and bibliographise everything i dont write down on my own. apparently theres some major storm with unis/colleges with teachers/markers using some website which has alot of essays on it that they can cross reference with when they mark their own kids works for plagiarizing stuff, the teachers claim its fair game and makes the students do their own work, while the students are claiming because their works are being held on a database, theyre work is copyrighted and what not while some,obviously the plagiarisers, are crying poor and what not.

 

when it comes to essays,reports and what not, you shouldnt really be caught plaigiarizing now a days, i mean so many sites and such that can write custom essays for you these days, if i was ever in a genuine pickle in uni id do that,spending 100 bucks or so rather than get failed,plus its not that immoral because technically its your notes...

 

but id avoid plagiarizing altogether, however tempting it is
