LP's next cd doomed?

They still have a huge audience, and most people couldn't give a rats ass of what critics say. Plus, LP has gotten a lot of new fans with their new style..

And they will continue to get new fans and loose fans... just how it goes. :-P

I don't think their next album is doomed. At worst maybe sales will be slower but Linkin Park still has a a lot left in them.

MTM is my favorite LP CD, even though I've only listened to three.

 

It's not doomed to me. I'm gonna hug it right when I get it.

Linkin Park has gotten worse with every subsequent release since ReAnimation...I expect thier next album to suck horribly...I like Minutes to Midnight...but its very bland for the most part and far too soft for a rock band.

Also, Minutes to Midnight failed me with the hyped up "musical breakthroughs". Finding the volume button on your amp is NOT a musical breakthrough. You are not avant garde because you decided to play a soft song with a guitar solo. I thought that was sad.

So basically...I expect the next album to be pure crap.

i agree with clogz for the most part, im not really into the softness, its really not LP and its not exactly what we thought they meant when they said they had advanced as msuicians lol

My Honest Opinion is that I really dont like the new Linkin Park at all. I much prefer the old Linkin park by far. I really hope the next album is like their old style but I doubt it

like one half is straight Hybrid Theory type mike raps chester sings mike raps chester breaks it down it gets quiet chester screams while mike says words we cant understand and then chester sings some more and then the end shit.

 

then the second half is like this new stuff

 

then on the second album its liek straight reanimation and more techish kinda stuff hanh and mike heavy

 

then the last last half is a jumbo mix of everything and them expanding in a new forward motion.

I wouldn't appreciate them going full back HT style so much but I'd love to hear more rap/rock on the new album, like yeah maybe half rap/rock half new stuff, like more integrative and developed. I'd take the second last half though.
