Linkin_lp_park Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Well I don't think their performance has gone downhill at all, it's merely changing, just as the music has. For the record I think OSC is an awesome intro for a set. =] Yeah at first i didn't thought it was a good idea at all, but i turned out great! And i agree, the perfomances didn't go downhill, it changed, just as the music did and just als LP did Quote ιη тнє ѕιℓєη¢є σƒ тнє ∂αякηєѕѕ
Usiel Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 MTM isn't affecting it, age is. They're opening with fucking OSC instead of Don't Stay or Given Up. Mike can no longer pwn like mad on Papercut, Chester sounds off on half the shit he sings. This will be no RAR04, LP is much older and unfortunately their live act has actually worsened in my opinion. Nothing I've seen from 2007 can even compete with shows like Somerset or Rock am Ring 04. Their 04 setlist was a hell of a lot better to, stuff like LFY and the Hip Hop Medley pwn NMS and GU. I hate Mike's new role in the set, he raps barely anymore and he's singing harmony and playing guitar all the time. I like it when he's rapping on just about every song. That's just my opinion, but I'm wondering if I even should go see them now. I liked everything about MWT and PR04 but damn, I just don't feel it anymore. I've depressed myself when I've read your "declaration"... so, if you're right LP wont never be as they were once...:'( . I couldnt see them as they were in their apogee... Of course, they'll always be LP, but, well the years dont stop for anyone (unfortunately) and in LP the time has "changed" them...so, I have a new band to add to my sad list: AC/DC, Blind Guardian, Mecano, Eminem, Scorpions, Deep Purple... and LINKIN PARK Quote [broken External Image]:http://img395.imageshack.us/img395/1977/luna640gp0.jpg ...oPeN yOuR mInD fOr A dIfFeReNt vIew'n NoThInG eLsE mAtTeRs...
untitled Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 well, even with some slower songs (at pinkpop) i was still jumping like hell, it was still an awesome performance, and i have to say i actually like chesters voice better at points now than in 04 Quote my lp item's PICS of COLLECTION my lp audio-video collection
Usiel Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 why? I mean, why do you prefer actual Chester's voice? his voice should be more.... tired? Well, I dont know how to explain myself in some way you can understand me :o , but, If I'm not wrong he had a operation because he had some problems with his throat or something like this. So, anyway, his voice cant be as it was when LP was started... I'm sorry dear, but today I'm quite depressive. I've just received bad news from everywhere... It wasnt my intention to be critical with you. Quote [broken External Image]:http://img395.imageshack.us/img395/1977/luna640gp0.jpg ...oPeN yOuR mInD fOr A dIfFeReNt vIew'n NoThInG eLsE mAtTeRs...

I'm not complaining you idiot, I was answering the question. That's my opinion and I'm entitled to it. There's no law that says this thread has to be composed fully of positive replies. LP tries to make their performance perfect and lately I'm seeing Chester totally suck, and I'm sure many others will tell you that because I'm positive I'm not the only one that has noticed that. I'm glad in your opinion they sound better than before, but in mine they don't. I'm not acting like they're 40, they're 7 years older than they were though, which is a significant increase for Mike and Chester. I preferred them when they were younger. Don't tell me to fucking quit complaining. I can answer the question however I want. Quote

BlackHeart Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 ^^ nah, don't worry about it, that was my bad. btw, if it's one thing that definetely hasn't worsened it's their fashion sense. <3 the shirt and tie chester's worn like 4 concerts in a row lol. Friðbjörn Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 well I've now seen the Lisboa show (thanks to you Mark, thanks) and...it sucked. at least the tracks I gave a chance. the mixing was not done well, the guitars didn't sound nearly as well as they should have, chester was offkey or almost offkey so many times I stopped counting...I think I'll never listen to Papercut live again or something, they always mess it up so badly nowadays... sorry but that's my honest opinion after seeing the Portugal show. alright BIO and TLTGYA were good, other than that I didn't care much for the show...maybe No more sorrow Quote [broken External Image]:http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/2784/lpfas08mostintelligentym8.jpg

I havent been there... neither have watched the show yet..(i still dont have courage to..) but what i hear everyday is that "LP were fucking amazing, they rocked, it was a thing like never seen before"... you know... truth fans (but perhaps not honest like you) always talk like that.. Friðbjörn Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 maybe so... all I know is that I would probably have enjoyed the show much more had I actually been there. it's always a better experience when you're there, on the spot when the concert takes place. christal1414 Posted June 14, 2007 Author Posted June 14, 2007 haha so many fights about linkin park have come up since they changed there style of music Quote
Friðbjörn Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 I think with LP now, is that the question isn't about styles anymore. they were diverse before, but they usually fit into a genre back then, but right now they're just all over the place. you got pop, soft rock like U2, hiphop similar to FM, and punk influenced stuff, as well as from classical rock... you really can't stick a label to them anymore Quote [broken External Image]:http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/2784/lpfas08mostintelligentym8.jpg
LÎnkinPärkExtreme Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 you really can't stick a label to them anymoreThey don't want to be labeled that's what chester / mike said in an interview. They just wanted to do something different. Quote
christal1414 Posted June 15, 2007 Author Posted June 15, 2007 thanks linkin park extreme that gives us an answer to what they want:D Quote
