I think Motion Picture Soundtrack is a 1000x better "funeral" song choice than Creep from Radiohead. Creep would be an excellent joke song to play at a wedding after party. The words and especially the music on MPS make it a perfect exit song.

 

"Pyramid Song" is another good one:

Well, from my part, I'm going to be a little bit traditional but with some rock & metal's tones, so I think for my funeral "Send me an angel" from Scorpions and "Knockin' on heaven's door " of Guns'n Roses's cover it will be very nice, very sensitive and emotional (I'll invite to everyone here, but, you should wait for many years yet... what about 65 more??:-P )

LMAO! No need? It's a discussion forum, duh. I have every right to discuss my thoughts and opinions. And I briefly explained why I thought Creep wasn't a great choice. In your world, it is. Great! Didn't tear you down in any way.

 

So.......you have the right to defend your choice in a constructive way, but you chose not to. And as for me, I'll stand by my original thoughts. Creep doesnt really strike me as a funeral song. On a superficial level, it's more about a relationship. So I felt compelled to point out what I thought were more suitable Radiohead funeral song choices. Big deal.......

very special song to me. it's one of those songs by Sigur rós that makes members of the audience cry when they play it live.

Ohh, dear, it's sooo beautiful!! Really, you've chosen a incredible song (well, actually I like it too because I love the piano as a instrument, I think it's my favourite one... yes, sure) and the voice was so soft, so nice... I think if you would choose (actually you've done it) for your funeral you'd believe to be in the heaven before you've arrived to it.

Always loved that song. But then again, I love that album too. It was a thing of beauty for me back in 1999. A revelation in music. Puts into perspective how simple-minded LP is when amazing music like this is created.
