woodyloveslinkin Posted August 17, 2008 Author Posted August 17, 2008 It is cool. What have I been up to this morning? Writing, waiting and listening to mostly Tarja Turunen's stuff. And downloading Nightwish videos. I have to put my laptop in for repair, certain keys on the keyboard don't work and i don't know why, I also have to update my RAM, so gonna ask ma for some cash. Optus is shit with the net. It gives me unblockable pop-ups! Writing - a mixture of Tourniquet and The LPFs. Waiting - for daniel to come over and find my phone/help me with the printer I have probably stuffed/pick up his stupid guitar. Not happy that he lost my phone. Cos when he pulled his 4 am stunt on me yesterday morning, he slept on my phone which was mistakingly placed next to me and now I can't find it. woodyloveslinkin Posted August 17, 2008 Author Posted August 17, 2008 Okay, Daniel hasn't entirely fixed my computer as it chucked a PMS skitz at me but I have to keep on eye on it now...downloading spybot now...grr...might have to get a new laptop Damn I have to back my files up. Dan said that I might have a software and hardware conflict. I still have to bring it in to the shop to get it repaired. Quote Mia Elizabeth 18/2/10 Kate Helena 8/7/11 My baby girls <3

woodyloveslinkin Posted August 18, 2008 Author Posted August 18, 2008 Not really. Am at uni now and watching X-Files (Fallen Angel) on the uni computers while Dan attends philosophy. My computer is broken and I'm having such a bad day. It's gonna cost about $300 to fix. Damn viruses. I have trojans, spyware, malware etc etc on it and it's stuffed! well I guess it was my own damn fault for not putting spybot on it until the last minute. Anyway, so I hopefully get it back soon. woodyloveslinkin Posted August 18, 2008 Author Posted August 18, 2008 9. Fallen Angel There are a number of things I liked/disliked about this episode. Just beware with viewing this episode, it continues on with the theory that the American government is one of the most corrupted governments under the sun (that's probably half true nowadays), and it concerns yet again, the military, no force to be specific in this case, but just the military itself. This episode dwells on the saying that is plastered in Mulder's office with the UFO spaceship "I Want to Believe", yes, it deals with aliens and abductees. The US military has started a coverup of a man, David, who is a big fan of Fox Mulder and doesn't believe that he has been abducted, but yet, he shows signs that he has. The US military also is undergoing an alien/phantom landing in which Mulder is so fascinated in he ends up in trouble himself with the FBI for defying all sorts of protocols and Scully is sent to try and bring him back (you know the guy, he'll say no to any pretty woman's face when it comes to him and his job). This episode wasn't great and I do say it was misleading, as in the name of the episode was misleading. I expected it to do with something about angels and demons or at least have it set in the City of Angels (Los Angeles). The writing wasn't crash hot and the acting, well, tacky at times, but there was a highlight in Anderson's acting when Scully had to take on her job as a doctor (if you didn't know she's a qualified forensic doctor). There's nothing much I can say about this episode that is positive. All I can really say is "NEXT!". Quote Mia Elizabeth 18/2/10 Kate Helena 8/7/11 My baby girls <3

woodyloveslinkin Posted August 18, 2008 Author Posted August 18, 2008 Yay!! *does happy dance* 10. Eve Oh my God! Give me lightening or give me thunder God but never will you seperate me from this awesome episode! Here's the plot for you all - a crazy and derranged woman set out experimenting on humans, so instead of her experiments (the boys were named Adam and the girls were named Eve) having the normal 46 or 48 chromosomes that normal humans have, they each have 56 which increases their agility and their intelligence ("and increased psychosis" - Mulder). Two of these experiments (who happen to be identical twin sisters in real life) either side of the country, at the same time their father's die the exact way and so these two girls are reunited eventually, Cindy and Tina. These 8 year old identical twin sisters (in real life) set out to cause mayhem and mischief among the Agents, posing as innocent kids but they are killers! Quick, someone put them in the mental hospital now! Oh my God! I have always loved this episode because of the suspense! The acting is believable, and Mr Carter sets up the suspense so well that I fell off my seat, no kidding. Is and will always remain one of my most beloved X-Files episodes, alongside Squeeze. Five fucking stars!! Quote Mia Elizabeth 18/2/10 Kate Helena 8/7/11 My baby girls <3
Ravynlee Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 There's something about little kids doing 'evil' things that really send a chill up our collective spines... that's why I love movies like The (original) Omen etc... actually trying to write somthing along these lines (not the antichrist thing, that's been flogged to death, but a kid that's not quite... 'normal') at the mo... lovin' it. woodyloveslinkin Posted August 18, 2008 Author Posted August 18, 2008 I have class at 11.30 and I got woken up early cos Daniel wants to get his centreshit stuff in early. He rolled over on top of me because I kept telling to wake up (along with my alarm) and fucking squished me... I can't wait to get my laptop back tomorrow. Not looking forward to the cost of it, but I want it back because it has photoshop on it, unless I can get a ripped version of it off Serena and I can put it on Dan's computer Quote Mia Elizabeth 18/2/10 Kate Helena 8/7/11 My baby girls <3
Ravynlee Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 Have fun with that. Photoshop and Uni I mean. Good luck :ok: Quote http://www.sucksbbs.net/data/MetaMirrorCache/8a6798b252d89e12b3d476bb0fa63027.jpg ~ If I'm not here, I'm there ^ ~ ~ All new general discussion forum ~ Click pic !!! ~
woodyloveslinkin Posted August 19, 2008 Author Posted August 19, 2008 It's a graphics lecture....the words "fun" and "lectures" don't belong in the same sentence. Lol, ever since he's been crashing here, I've had to cook for him (I teach myself that way and I get praised for it). Yay, I'm cooking steak and hashbrowns tonight Quote Mia Elizabeth 18/2/10 Kate Helena 8/7/11 My baby girls <3
Ravynlee Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 Nothing wrong with that, they say practice makes perfect *cough*bullshit*cough* When I was a youngin' my ma would try her damnest to teach me cooking, and bless her the woman has magic powers in the kitcten am almost certain about it, but I really wasn't that into it. When she and the old man broke up I had to step in and do it and that was a crash course let me tell you, but it worked. Necessity they say is the mother of all invention. I still am not a huge fan of cooking but as you know fell into it a few years ago and have been doing it since in a manner of speaking for a living. It's amazing what you'll pick up when you're forced to. I can always send ya some basic recipies if you're ever feeling that domesticated - just give me some warning first, I think I'll fall off my chair in shock if you did hahahaha But seriously best of luck with that. Hope you don't poison anyone - unless it's intentional of course. Haha. And as for Uni well... yeah... head down and focus missy. As much as I love the LPFs and pretty much anything you pen out these days, I'd be happier seeing you pass your grades than repeat past performances, yeah? (Oh god, have slipped into mother mode again, apologies) *hugs* Now sod-off and go study. Make your LPF family proud or I'll climb a stepladder and kick your @$$ XD Sorry, couldn't resist Have a good day. woodyloveslinkin Posted August 19, 2008 Author Posted August 19, 2008 What do you mean, you slipped back into mother mode? You didn't get out of it 8P ACTUALLY now that I think of it, I wouldn't mind some basic recipes. But I can always get them off my mother, I think that mother of mine will fall of her chair when I ask her for them, lol, last time I asked her how to cook - "Fat chance. You're too lazy. Your idea of a dinner is a bowl of 2 minute noodles on top of a packet of biscuits." I am on top of my studies, don't worry. What do you think I've been doing without the net? Gotta go in half an hour anyway. Hmm...the X-Files and computer make sarah go something go something.... haha its the reverse right now!! Ravynlee Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 What do you mean, you slipped back into mother mode? You didn't get out of itTrue. Good point. The notion I've somehow managed to adopt more kids into this cesspool we call a family (did I say cesspool? I meant den of love warmth and comfort *lmfao*) continues to confound me. I stand by my earlier claims Justin was adopted. Seeing as how Rob is now in the capable hands of Jojo he cannot lay claim to that - but we can say I used his notoriety to take in as many orphans as I want - I'm like my own private Brangelina, only JT's not Vietnamese etc... haha, ouch! Aww. My children. I just hope y'all remember me whan I lose what's left of my marbels and have to be shipped off to a nursinghome - if y'all abandon me I'll.... send someone taller around to bust yer kneecaps hahaha. Wow, go the idle threats lately! 0_0 Maybe David can step in now and be stepdaddy. I'd like to play house with him. Sorta. His filandering ways would make for more fireworks than we really need but woud be good froma dramatic and angsty kind of way - if you're into that kink of course haha *insert halo here* So guess wil see you tonight maybe (not literally) after Uni. Cool. TTYL then *hugs* and for the love of god BEHAVE! Just had to be said. woodyloveslinkin Posted August 19, 2008 Author Posted August 19, 2008 11. Fire It's funny how you can automatically tell what the episode is about by just what it's called (not generalising but it's true a fair majority of episodes have been based on their title which makes sense in the long run) and it's ironic how many episodes I've seen in younger years that come back to me, this is no exception this episode. This is a somewhat unusual case as it involves an investigator from Scotland Yard, who happens to be one of Mulder's old flames from Oxford University in England. The case revolves around a murderer who's a pyrokinetic (just say it has something to do with creating fireballs) maniac who enjoys killing people and sending love letters to their love ones. Now what I liked about this episode, it had a strong underlying plot and despite Scully's glasses (which made me cringe several times, for fuck sakes Scully you look like a complete idiot with those glasses on, the complete opposite to what you're meant to be *throws a potato pie at Scully*) I found Gillian Anderson's character portrayal somewhat amusing and entertaining as she brilliantly plays on sarcasm and wit to make fun of her partner's old flame. I can't say much on David's behalf, as I found the character portrayal to be a bland and boring, but whoever played Pheobe (Mulder's old crush) has to be applauded for her Scottish accent (even if it is real). Dear Mr Chris Carter, you have done this episode well and I applaud you for it. Lots of love S xxx p.s. I'm the girl that's been stealing all the x-files episodes out of your dvd collection.
