They agreed to play a gig my music class set up for like half the amount of money they normally ask, which IMO is very cool! Their EP is called "City Lights Glow" and you can hear songs from it on myspace and on their mp3.com site. So check them out! In a matter of a few seconds there will be another group like this, but under a new cheesey band name. Not recommended. There song writing on the other hand is predictable n they very much show their influences by playing exactly as they do.... the is just nothing to them.... just another post hardcore band & I like some hardcore..... such a Fugazi but POST hardcore like POST Grunge is just bleh. And I love the fact that you say "it comes down to the individual and what they like, etc." So with that said, we might as well not even have any discussion after the first post. Whether anybody's reaction is positive or negative to a band, it doesn't matter in your opinion. So what would you like to see? A whole bunch of threads with the original post only and that's it? Yes, I might have been a little harsh on my intial response in this thread. But that's how I felt from what I know. So you not checking out what we have to say about music is fine. However, it seems to me that we have a much wider taste of music than the average music lover and many of our posts, contributions, and comparisons have alot more substance and analysis in general. And because of that, we have plenty of reasoning to backup our positive and negative opinions. By the way, take a look at all the contributions Stenners has given to this forum. He doesn't have to write all these in depth reviews on a wide array of artists. As well as create all these mix cds and share them with the board to help give others something new to hear. So you trying to knock us like we come up with pointless discontent for no good reason or to spite others is so off-base. We can form a negative opinion as well without you dismissing ours. Quote
