Next time I think there should be more input from the normal members as to the nomination side of things, not just on the voting side.

Also maybe a few more categories?

yes i agree, ive been reading some of the 2005 awards and thats the main point people make... more input from the non elites and staff. but lets see when we get there its just under a year to go -_-

Nope, that's not what I said.

I said most people getting any recognition for what they do are elites or higher. I wasn't talking about the LPFA, cause frankly I didn't pay much notice to who won.

 

I'm talking about on a daily basis. There's a low number of regular white colored users that are well appreciated, if you ask me.

I was thinking that as I got up this morning. Set the categories and then let people choose the nominations.

Mods had it best. See heres the thing, there are a lot of elites so when we had that whole nominating poll thing that essentially showed us who was winning the category. Also, everything was more organized and presented better. Like fribs pointed out, he didn't even know half of everyone that won. Because why should we care? The winners thread was like sitting in the DMV. Way to boring to really appreciate. Plus what about the sigs and what not. You can't let people pressure you into releasing stuff early. That only means your playing it as someone else's bitch. Voting ended Wednesday, that doesn't mean the winners are announced. If your not fully prepared don't just say oh well we will just feed in bits in pieces later because you wont get anywhere with it. I applaud the few that at least tried to bring this back but in the end of the day when you lay all the cards on the table it sucked. I say the elites shouldn't do this again. They tried and they get finger snaps for it, but its just not really something an elite should be doing considering a lot of the forum members are elite. The Upper Staff needs to suck it up and actually do something fun instead of just sitting around like a bunch of babies because haninator didn't like it last year. If your met by negativity its called counteracting it and doing something even better the fallowing year, and from the looks of it the Mod staff and Admins haven't done shit. It's been the regular people who have to work to make this forums at least a little more interesting, and give people a little more of an incentive to join. I blame the Upper Staff for the LPF Awards sucking, because they wanted to cry instead of doing anything. All these other sites have so much tournaments and contests, and other various fun activities for their users and you mean to tell me you can't kick us a decent "awards?" Why? Because your feelings got hurt? This site has such a loyal fan base and yet it ceases to give anything back. And when we complain they go, oh well go to another site then. Seriously, maybe with Jeezy you guys will have some motivation to do something more I don't know, but the Administration really needs to pick up some weight, because it's really pathetic. Every time we ask for something on this site, we end up loosing more. It gets really old after a while.

You have to understand, while Hahns, Jeezy, Mine, Vash, Mouse, and ATLien are all "staff".. That is all we are.. We have no permission to go and do this and do that.. We have to get the ok from Qwest, and you all have seen how much he is around.. So before you go pointing fingers at the WHOLE staff, get your facts straight.

LPF staff doesnt have to ask qwest for permission do do stuff like hold contests etc. since when has anyone asked him? Ive never asked him permission for any of the things i do. and when I say upper staff qwest is definitely included

Yeah, but the fun of tournaments and stuff to to have prizes and incentives, and to be honest, we need Qwest for that, because I certainly don't have money for that stuff.. And if you want to see new stuff.. there is a place called Site talk, for you to voice you opinion there for new and interesting ideas, but I haven't seen anything like that there, have I?

 

Yes, I would like to be able to do this tourney and that, but to be honest, I don't have ideas for stuff like that, and I need your help.. So instead of bitching because we don't have anything like that, then why don't you run over to site talk, and tell me somethings that you would like to see.. I would appreciate site input, but some people don't know how to do that... And I am sorry for jumping on your case.. I thought you make activities where we give away prizes, I didn't realize you meant little things like LPF Island, and the hottest LPF member, or whatever, so for that I apologize.

Look my whole gripe is that ive been griping for ages. ive made a few threads in site talk, ive made polls and suggestions. and look how many times ive been heard. so many people have thrown so many ideas into that trash hole we call a sitetalk. Nobody reads it and its fustrating. We should have more of everything! Contests with prizes, plain contests, site additions anything. In the past year excluding this LPFA what has LPF done? N O T H I N G

 

And why am I bitching on here? Maybe someone will see something and go... HEY Hes right! We havent had shit! How come we are such a strong and loyal fanbase to this site and yet we cant even get a little appreciation from the site owner and staff? Its pretty pathetic when us normal visitors have to take it upon ourselves to make these forums fun when in reality its supposed to be us enjoying the site. I dont know maybe im wrong...am I wrong? Is it my job to keep members on this site? Maybe I missed that somewhere. I dont see why qwest cant just sell back the site to ATL and we get this thing rolling like how it used to... back then he had everything in tip top shape and the site was actually pretty fun. That's the problem. The staff. Vash and UM0 are never here. Qwest is never here either.

 

It's like me and you are doing everything and lately it's been all you. We need new admins, we need a new owner. I have proposed numerous things in the staff section, only to get either just a reply only by Victim or not by anyone at all lol. I'd love to do more events and stuff, but we need a staff makeover for it to happen.
