not trying to be mean but did noone watch the video on lp.com?

he has been jumping off the crates on stage for years on heavy parts of songs they play. he did it a lot on PR. however, this time he tried to jump from the top of LPs metal cage-like stage thing they have. it's a big jump and he would have made it. he jumped off right when the riff on papercut came in and would have made it but his foot got caught in the stairs on the stage going down, which caused him to trip and fall over, smashing his wrist.

he wasn't sitting to begin with, he was standing. it was an accident. lol.

Yea i watched it, its pretty cringe worthy.

His screams were great at the Sunday show. I was surprised at how good he was. And we got the full length scream on Given Up which was fucking awesome.

What a fuckin dunce.

That chester is a bull in a china closet.... or a bull in a wrist closet.

It'd be more impressive if he was a drummer and finished the show with a broken wrist.

Its good to be back.

Screw that. Screw that up the bum with a broomstick.

Impressive, yes, but it does a hell of a lot more damage. Most people don't seem to realise how much drummers use their wrists. He'd need MONTHS of rehab to get back up to scratch. I've drummed with a strained wrist before and that was bad enough, but broken? Hell no.

Travis Barker from Blink 182 has played with a broken ankle, but that's not so bad, you can rig up your kit to make up for the loss of a leg.

Yeah it must have hurt like fuck. :[ the screams must have come from that. lol

o believe me...a broken wrist hurt's like hell:(

maybe when he was screaming...he then felt better...because he "let the pain out" ...he was like....releasing the pain trough his screaming ...(yeah sorry...psychology lessons made me like that :D )

Fucking impressive!

I mean getting up as if nothing happened and keep going with the show..

Now that's what I call true dedication.

Get well Chazz!

I know, don't preach to me about drumming and using the wrist, dude. I'm a percussion Major. :-)

There are words that must be said

There are words that must be heard

And there's a meaning to these quite absurd

Coz there's a footstep in the clouds

There's warmth in drops of rain

There's a meaning to the words i sayyyy....

Just how he got up after he fell, and just finished papercut without screaming AAAH

or maybe he did that 2 sec without the mic of something :-P

LOL he fell, got back up and went on with the show like nothing happened.

shows how much dedication he has for his work.

HE TOOK IT LIKE A MAN UNLIKE OTHER ARTISTS LOL canceling shows for a sore throat.

I quote chester:

My hand

doesn't matter, you can cut it off for all I care. As long as my voice works. If

I lost all feeling from my neck down, if you could string me up and I could sing,

I'd be there doing the shows. The fans come first and the shows come first too

and that's all that matters to us. We really don't care about anything else

except for the music and the kids."

Explains everything why he went on with the show hehe

where did that Chester quote come from?

holy shit it's been 3 days since he broke it and he's already back playing guitar on Shadow of the Day live! he's playing guitar in a cast, wow lol. he only didn't play guitar on SOTD the show he broke it and the show the next day, (15th and 16th). they took a break on the 17th and on the 18th he's back on guitar. awesome!

and just so you know, Brad played the last 3/5 of Family Values Tour 01 with a broken foot on stage. and Phoenix fucking shot the Live in Texas DVD with a broken ankle. Chester played all the Europe 03 shows with a broken hand.

I think that's all of LP's 'broken' injuries. just those 3 and then this wrist break here.

Just amazing they all kept playing

And even more amazing Chester is already playing guitar again, is he magicly healed or something?:-P

Man I have so much respect for these guys, just keep playing for the fans

Well, he's a professional... and, btw, he isnt the first one who has a fall like this one in a live show. I know some cases with a similar reference. Anyway, I hope he's fine... after all, yeah, it was a wrist, something quite painful, but everyone knows it could have been worse. He could have hurt his back or even his head.... I've seen the vid three or four times and I saw something quite curious: I saw the hard fall but I think Mike didnt notice that. Have you notice this? hahaha... he continued singing as nothing had happened... and, at the end, nothing really serious happened, so, lucky boy, dear Chester!! ;)
