DarknessLover Posted January 21, 2008 Author Posted January 21, 2008 How about Cannibal Corpse? Unearth? Lamb of God? Quote The Park is Back? No way!
FireHawk Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I'm sorry I don't mean to be mean but you guys are listing stuff like disturbed and taproot and adema? that's numetal at best, which if you ask me is not real metal. if you want real technique and the signature really deep thick harsh sound of metal, go for something like in flames, arch enemy, machine head or pantera or something Pantera kicks ass...Cowboys From Hell + Walk = Pwnage! Yeah must you guys are naming off like nu-metal and hard rock (if that) ...Godsmack is not metal Quote Please when you see spam just click the http://www.sucksbbs.net/data/MetaMirrorCache/4b273718b96672a5cde873c5a972756e.gif graphic and type "Spam" into the text box then click report. Its better than complaining and goes straight to the mods.
Peterdea Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 some Godsmack is metal... not all, but their better stuff is... and in my opinion numetal IS metal... so thats why i named numetal bands... Quote Its good to be back.

Mikes_Shadow Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 instrumental metal does exist key bands that are instrumental: pelican sunn O))))) neurosis capricorns speed metal, I'd think that's something in the vein of Megadeth. I havent heard much speed metal, but it's related to thrash metal thrash bands: metallica megadeth slayer anthrax testament exodus other decent metal bands that come to mind right now: arch enemy black sabbath boris callisto children of bodom cult of luna in flames dark tranquility jesu isis sepultura machine head opeth dimmu borgir type o negative lamb of god amon amarth finntroll fear factory dismember gorgoroth týr darknote Fuck, you have good taste in music. I suggest: Kayo Dot maudlin of the Well Bloody Panda Kyuss Ensiferum Parabstruse (not the most metal artist ever, but he has his moments. He's a nice guy, too... his name is Garry not parabstruse. lulz) Agalloch Katatonia Black Label Society Norther (same frontman as Ensiferum. Petri Lindroos.. Sex. Listen to these guys if you like Children of bodom) Darkthrone (probably one of the most mainstream black metal bands ever, but they're fuckin' kickass.) Dreaming Alaska (one of the most talented musicians I have ever heard) And Nightwish are always good. Also, I suggest you listen to my band, The Gemini. Drone metal ftw! http://www.myspace.com/notkayodot Trivium are shithouse. Stop mentioning nu-metal and metalcore shit! It's not real metal! woodyloveslinkin Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Well you were editing your posts while I was posting that. Within Temptation Lacuna Coil Evanescence BIG BIG NO NO NOs. With Nightwish, Tarja's stuff was more heavier then Anette's. Maybe because Anette has only one album. I don't know about Anette. The Poet and the Pendulum and Seven Days to the Wolves were most probs the heaviest songs. Compared to songs from Tarja like Dark Chest of Wonders and End of All Hope. Quote Mia Elizabeth 18/2/10 Kate Helena 8/7/11 My baby girls <3
Mikes_Shadow Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 I hate the whole pseudo-goth persona those bands have. Evanescence really are incredibly talented, though. Quote hurr durr [broken External Image]:http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/3860/dffhgfhfghfgfghhg.jpg http://www.last.fm/user/fAgalloch
woodyloveslinkin Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Not really. Amy Lee's voice is only unique because of how whiney it is. I have to say Lacuna Coil is more talented then Evanescence or maybe cos I love their song To The Edge too much. Quote Mia Elizabeth 18/2/10 Kate Helena 8/7/11 My baby girls <3
Mikes_Shadow Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 My sister is in love with Lacuna coil for some reason... Whiney voices aren't really unique. Just listen to nu-emo (nu meaning false in my opinion)! They all sound the same. It's probably because she's a girl. Quote hurr durr [broken External Image]:http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/3860/dffhgfhfghfgfghhg.jpg http://www.last.fm/user/fAgalloch
woodyloveslinkin Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 So is Tarja Turunen and Anette Olzon. Amy Lee's voice is the equaliviant the lead singer of Oasis singing Wonderwall left on repeat. Quote Mia Elizabeth 18/2/10 Kate Helena 8/7/11 My baby girls <3
Mikes_Shadow Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 The sound balance in Wonderwall is so uneven.. That's like... the only thing that pisses me off about that song. Tarja's voice is annoying Quote hurr durr [broken External Image]:http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/3860/dffhgfhfghfgfghhg.jpg http://www.last.fm/user/fAgalloch
woodyloveslinkin Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 It's better than Anette's voice. Took me a lonnnnggg time to get used to Tarja's voice though. Quote Mia Elizabeth 18/2/10 Kate Helena 8/7/11 My baby girls <3
