woodyloveslinkin Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 Then can i ask you why you're on here Matt? I mean, hey, I ain't the biggest fan of LP (most of the time I prefer to diss them then congradulate them) but at least I am a fan at one aspect. Cyro Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 Ugh, I miss the days when we all used to talk about our favorite songs, meanings, and had fan clubs for all the members... But I do agree with what woody said... they have been doing the kind of music they had since HT and Meteora since they first came onto the scene in 1997 with that Xero demo tape. Mike and Brad were trying to do that music since even before that, their old style.. they weren't trying to cash in on what was current, they were just lucky enough that what they wanted to do at the time was current. But with MTM... its very cliche. I like it and all, but its just not gonna have that same staying power for me as HT and Meteora had all those years. Up until about 2006 I could still stick in HT and not be bored. But I doubt I'll be able to stick in MTM 5 years from now and listen to Shadow of the Day, and not be bored with it. GraDoN Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 Justing Timberlake - Cry me a River sell out with MTM? i dont think so... another meteora/HT album would be selling out IMO Quote http://www.sucksbbs.net/data/MetaMirrorCache/095443c5f5914cdd05b1d389456c201e.jpg http://www.sucksbbs.net/data/MetaMirrorCache/8df3638f80a4f010e06ef2c959f426e8.gif http://www.sucksbbs.net/data/MetaMirrorCache/fe80ab99471398f0ef121d8f90c31038.jpg

M Shadows Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Albums represent the artist. Therefore, MTM was the most offensive album there could be to me. IT'S BLASPHEMY TO ME. And that's me putting it lightly for ya'll. LP ain't gonna last with this attitude. Take a step back from the mirror and see what Chester and the band has done to LP's image. They look like another fucking MCR. Their songs are the same, there's no variation as demonstrated by such songs like "What I've Done" and "Shadow of the Day". Go back to the real LP for a second and comapare variations like "Sessions" to "Crawling". They were the good songs. LP has given into popularism. LP is dead. So don't say I'm a dumb fuck when you obviously can't smell popularism even if it came and hit you in the ass. i love the fact you compare sessions to crawling, considering all sessions was a sound effect. They don't sound a thing like MCR, and maybe Shadow of the day and What I've Done were meant to sound to the same because the fact shadow of the day leads straight into WID. and if you want to say the new cd sounds the same go listen to Meteora every damn song sounds the exact same. Friðbjörn Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 mtm does have it over meterora that the guitar doesn't sound 100% the same on each track, tis true Quote [broken External Image]:http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/2784/lpfas08mostintelligentym8.jpg

I was talking about how different those two songs were. If I wanna listen to songs that are the same I'll go and listen to pop music. Chester's become Gerard Way. Cos the hairstyle is starting to say so and same goes with the music he's producing out with LP. Quote Mia Elizabeth 18/2/10 Kate Helena 8/7/11 My baby girls <3
chesjon Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 I miss the heavier stuff too! Chester has a really great voice and it's great he got to show it on Minutes To Midnight but hopefully they return to some heavier stuff on the next album! Also I hope they last for a LONG time but I would be one or two more albums would be it from Linkin Park Quote Linkin Park Lyrics, Wallpaper and Ringtones at LPSpot.com

linkinparkfansid Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 I miss the heavier stuff too, but they've definitely grown up a lot as musicians. But this album (MTM) is missing something. Clogz Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 I miss the heavier stuff too, but they've definitely grown up a lot as musicians. But this album (MTM) is missing something. It's hasn't got what it should have had to make it click with the masses. There's definitely something missing there. Its missing ingenuity...its missing the spark. None of the tracks on MTM had genuine emotion anyway, just re-hashed lyrics and songs that come off as pretty bland and slightly pretentious. No emotional factor what-so-ever. As far as LP lasting, well I think they like money and so as long as they are making tons of it they will keep making music. It seems that the normal life track of all nu-metal bands is to start raw and uncompromising, then progress to become narcisistic, pretentious, and artsy ( e.g. Limp Bizkit and KoRn). Some call it growing up - I call it inflated ego. Quote And then I felt chills in my bones / The breath I saw was not my own I knew my skin that wrapped my frame / Wasn't made to play this game XXI

BUT Limp Bizkit's last release "The Unquestionable Truth Part 1" was a very raw and in my opinion and awesome EP, but Fred Durst's ego and askign for it not to be advertised or announced until day of release basically fucked over that great EP. And since when was LB artsy? lmao Quote Please when you see spam just click the http://www.sucksbbs.net/data/MetaMirrorCache/4b273718b96672a5cde873c5a972756e.gif graphic and type "Spam" into the text box then click report.
