How much longer will LP last?

a) I don't think that Limp Bizkit has any talent full stop, and the only song that I really like of Limp Bizkit is the "All In the Family" song they did with Korn and it was only good because it was nothing but insults being exchanged between Fred Durst and Jon Davis.

b) Korn is VERY well known for their self promotional material and their advertising.

c) Linkin Park was a trend in the old days. They are almost like a rubber band. When you start stretching the rubber band it's going to break and it's going to end up in the trash can. Linkin Park has worn outs elasticity and now is pushing their way through fame and fortune on a very hard and downward spiral.

LPs fanbase is too big for them too fail and besides i like the new album so why would i stop supporting them, and the same can be said for millions of other people.

So is Metallica's, and look, many Metallica fans have dumped Metallica for Megadeth's music. No matter how big your fanbase is, it's not something that guarantees you're not going to fail as a band. As many of LPFers including me, we don't like Minutes to Midnight, as it is only a crash and burn album.

If they wanted a successful album to me, they should've included Qwerty on it.

but i swear to you if they made another nu-metal/rap-core (or w/e you might call it) album there will be the same amount or even more people dissing them for selling out and just trying to suck more money out of the nu-metal scene, so it was really a "damned-if-the-do and damned-if-they-dont" album and i can understand why a lot of people dont like MTM, i myself will admit like clogz said it doesent have that "it" factor where the album makes you want to listen to it again and again.

 

but over all i like it and TLTGYA is beyond awesome IMO and that song really makes me listen to the whole album over and over again :>

and i agree QWERTY is awesome but it has no place on MTM, if they made another rapcore album im sure it would have been on it

This might be really random but Simple Plan just released their third album in January and it sounds exactly like a mix between their first two albums and Nickelback. (A lot of people hate them for some reason and I don't know why...) They didn't do anything new and more people hate them now than ever (I sure do).

 

I don't think QWERTY would fit into Minutes To Midnight, because it doesn't sound at all like the rest of the album, even when comparing it to the likes of Given Up and What I've Done. The emotions put into QWERTY and the ones in the tracks in Minutes To Midnight aren't the same.

 

I don't know, after almost a year I don't think M2M was as bad as it was when it first came out, I mean, it's a major blow to Nu-Metal fans who can't stand change, but yeah. I guess they can go back to Nu-Metal if they wanted to or a whole bunch of fans go and burn Brad's hair or something.

Its because Simple Plan and Nickelback are both bands devoid of imagination & are just a money making band. They are never going to stretch the boundries or try, at least LP did TRY to extednd the boundries... sure they failed alot and it is just them ripping off countless bands but at least they tried to change....

 

Brads hair is the best thing about LP, you can tell from his look alone that he wants to try something more experimental & thats why I think he will be the first one to leave the band.

 

The Little Things Give You Away, was the best song on the new album by a long way but they did just do a poor version of a song done by many of my faviroute artists.... but of course people would dimiss that straight away as most people think I listen to noise music non stop

The songs that I like off MTM is What I've Done, (I've played that song so many times on both drums and piano) and No More Sorrow cos it's really catchy and my friends play that song in their garage on a weekly basis to cheer up his little sister who has cancer...

I don't really like TLTYGA or What I've Done as much as most people do. My favourite track is the future single, followed by No More Sorrow and Given Up. And then TLTYGA and What I've Done.

Quite simply as long as they want to. Whether or not they depend their successes on a personal level or in terms of sales I cant see the band disbanding for any other reason than personal choice. They're friends. They're workmates. They'll play music together as long as they love it, and if they make sales all the better. Personally I don't mind either way. Making music for any other reason than for the love of it perhaps robs the music of it's heart and intensity. So long as they love what they're doing then so be it.

They'll always have fans, whether two or twenty thousand *shrugs*

well the first time i heard it i fucking hated it

but it slowly grew on me and yeah i'm also one of the few ones who likes it

I felt kinda let down and insulted....$30 from Stop N Rock for an album I ended up hating....I could've bought Nightwish's Century Child for that price....

 

Like, don't get me wrong or anything, I do like Linkin Park, but they are also like Evanescence nowadays. Whiney, overplayed, and just dead set not wasting my money/effort on them anymore (would explain why I refused to go to the Evanescence concert..I mean Nightwish is better in general).
