I´m in college, 2nd year now

But still living at home

 

 

home? Oh, God! What a nice word! I'll give you an advice: enjoy it while you can. Others dont have this opportunity. I'm in the university. This is my third year studying journalism. So, I've been three years without stay at home, eating nice food and.. well, you know. Next year, I'll leave Seville and I'll go to Madrid, 'cos I want to leave journalism and to "change" the degree: I want to study advertising and public relations... so, if now, I'm 300 km far away from my home, next year will be 800... ups! honestly, If I continue like this, I dont want to imagine where I'll finish my degree (in Mars)

I'm in college right now, first year. I'm only taking a one year certificate program though, because I really wasn't sure what I wanted to do. I've just applied to the same college for next year, and hopefully I'll get into the Public Relations course that I want! *crosses fingers* College is a lot of fun. Definitely a great new experience.

I went to look around my first university today, The School of Oriental and African studies. It was amazing and hopefully if i get in i may to African Politics and Development there!

There are alot of hard courses out there though, doesn't mean luck is needed. Working hard will get you there if you are really motivated and if thats what you want to do ^^. Plus it's cool, I just found someone on LPF who's doing the same degree as me at the same Uni

I am totally biased when it comes to Sydney unis. The only uni I like in general is UTS cos my bro goes there...I love Charles Sturt. Fuck I'm gonna have a big HECs bill at the end of this four year course. I'm up for 30 k +

i started uni this year at stellenbosch uni which is the best one in SA, im doing a b.com with subjects like accounting, business management, Economics, industrial psychology and statistics.

Is anyone else completely unsure about what they are going to do with the rest of their life? I thought for years I knew what I was going to study in college.. and then it just dawned upon me the other day that I don't wanna do that, and that I have no idea what I want to do with the rest of my life. It has me really nervous

Yeah, something very similar happened to me like a year ago. I had been doing web design and learning various codes (html, css, java) when I suddlenly came to the realization that I didnt like it. It was midway through through learning java and absolutely hated it. After a bit, I figured I could fall back on art and graphic design (which I had only seen as a hobby, not a career choice). So this year I started taking art classes. I was really nervous at first, but its not working out too badly yet. Ive looked at and applied to schools for art and design so thats pretty much what Im doing college-wise... but I am still constantly unsure its what I want...

 

You basically said it perfectly... I dont know what I want to do with the rest of my life. I must assume we arent the only ones to have felt this way though, it must just be one of those things of growing up and discoving who you are... or something like that.

 

 

 

What was it you dont want to do anymore? What else do you like?

Well, we have the allied health classes at school.. and I had always been interested in going into the health field.. But after taking the classes, I hate the field.. I don't wanna go into that any more.. and then part of me always wanted to become a veterinarian, and so I started looking into that, as my sister works at a vet, and then I decided I hate that job as well.. and that leaves me where I am now..

 

Now, I do have a question, and I am glad you told me you took an interest in graphic design after you saw it as only a hobby.. My friend told me, he figured out what he wanted to be by examining his life and asking him self what he really likes to do,and he suggested I do the same, but the only thing that came to mind was working with Photoshop, and designing stuff, but like I said, I have always viewed this as a hobby and not a career.. and I never really thought my self up to par, but I started to consider looking into graphic design.. So my question is, what kind of class do you take for graphic design? And what do you work with? Just curious.

I don't know if you're talking to me I'll reply to you anyway Victim ^^, but I've always had a passion for photography and graphic design it just ignited for my promotion and design individual project for year 12 drama last year and here i am! making a double degree out of it and attending one of the best media universities there is in australia and one of the best internationally.

I did the same thing. Looked at what I liked hobby-wise and went with that. I'm now going to be doing a double bachelor of Graphic Design and Advertising starting next year.

 

And I asked the interviewer from the uni about the programs and stuff, and he said it's all basically Photoshop for that sort of stuff. On a Mac though, although that doesn't really make much of a difference..

I'm in the 1st year of uni...at Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (FERI) in Maribor...I'm studying Computer and Information Science...

It's a pretty hard program especially for me since I was at the Economical High School before that and I have actually no background...so yeah...there's a lot of work...but for now I'm doing fairly well...

Next year i plan to do a 2 years master.

 

And yeah, after all this i don't know yet what am i gonna do with my life...
