My Nightwish Concert !!

THE THING I'VE BEEN RAMBLING ON ABOUT FOR AGES HAS COME!!!

 

OMG OMG !! It was so awesome!!! A stupid little band called Dungeon came on first but Nightwish eventually came on!! And it was my first proper mosh pit !! This is a few pics of I have photobucket is playing up on me now...but I have more!

I loved the set so much. It was Gothic metalish and placid at the same time.

A bit blurry but none the less it's purple!

 

I remember one time everyone was telling each other to shut up cos Anette was trying to speak English and she was like:

 

"Ah..let's do something Australian..Aussie Aussie Aussie!"

We were all like at the top of our voices "OI! OI ! OI!"

"Aussie!"

"OI!"

"Aussie!"

"OI!"

"Aussie! Aussie! Aussie!"

"OI! OI! OI!"

Then we started stamping our feet and clapping.

 

On the encore we were chanting:

"NNIIIGGGHHHTTWWWIIIISSSHHH....NINNNIIIIIGGGGGHHHHHHTTTTTTTWWWWIIIIISSSSSHHH!"

Then we got the encore!!! With "Wish I Had An Angel Tonight" that's my fav song

Omg! The drummer off Nightwish looked hot!! He had a bandana on and he's so talented. He was spinning the sticks in the middle of the chorus of various songs. He had a double kick drum and it was a lovely red colour!!

But Anette did some pretty good Tarja attempts. These are the songs off the top of my head that they did:

> Wish I Had An Angel (omg! Marco sounded lovely in this!)

> Seven Days to the Wolves

> Bye Bye Beautiful (in which at the starting of the concert I had bet with my friend that they were going to open with that song and I won!!)

> The Poet and the Pendulum

> The Islander (I loved Marco's acoustic in this song and I wanted to steal Anette's tiara in this song!!)

I got in trouble with the security. These guys that my friends and I had befriended (and one of them was feeling me up during the entire concert) lifted me up on their shoulders during a silent pause between songs and I yelled out "ANETTE! GIVE ME YOUR TIARA!"The guards pointed the flash light me and basically told me to get down or get kicked out. A couple of guys yelled out "ANETTE! TAKE YOUR CLOTHES OFF!" LMAO.

 

And finally, after no personal space whatsoever and being felt up by some weird guy you've just befriended this is what I get:

Once photobucket stops mucking up and I get all the photos together I'll continue my Nightwish quest!

Yes they did as well, I was too hyped up at that moment of time cos I remember telling one of the guys that it sounded like a Cindy Lauper song. There were two other songs from Century Child they played but I didn't know those two songs.

I'm gonna see Nightwish also even though I actually don't listen to them but I'm goin with my best friend...I believe they're coming in Ljubljana on 4th March... We're gonna go and get ourselves tickets one time this week...

Linkin_lp_park (lol sorry I don't know your name) - We got pushed back by the second song, but when that photo was taken we had our original spots in the second row. There's something called the "washing machine" were people just push in a circle for about 5 minutes and that's how you lose your space. And plus, when they came on stage, everyone rushed forward. I am so glad I was not against the barrier when they opened the concert with Bye Bye Beautiful, which still, I'm eccentric that they opened with one of my fav songs from Dark Passion Play.

 

 

Here's some background info on them Di.

 

They are Finnish symphonic/power metal. Their newest album is Dark Passion Play. Their new singer is called Anette, while Tarja (Tar-ya) got kicked out (she had the opera voice and now is on a solo career as just Tarja). Their most famous songs to this date, are mostly with Tarja, which include "Nemo" "Wish I Had An Angel" "Ghost Love Score" "Wishmaster" and "Planet Hell".

I'm glad that didn't happend to me when I saw LP, at Atreyu I could touch the stage, someone tried to get between me and a friend, but I just kept pushing back hehe

Lol Sarah btw. By the end of the night, I was gonna start pushing my way forward, but the guy that behind me (I think his name was Luke) was too hot for me to go away from and he complained of no arm space and kept his hands on my waist and there was this gap between the moshpit (the hardcores lol) and the people who gave no fuck whatsoever about being near the band they paid $68 to see. And I was literally breathing in this chick's hair, cos she had long black hair out and I was so sweaty it stuck to my face and she had brought her bag in as well, and i was like

"wtf? why would u bring your bag into a concert when someone could easily steal it?" It was bad enough I brought my phone into the concert, that's how I got the photos and that's how Maddi got her photos. My brother txted me in the middle of the concert asking if I was having fun biatch, lol. And luke was like "ha! you've got a message!"

I would love to see Nightwish again. I met some people off VF the other day who came to the same concert but failed to see me in my black and blue Nightwish tee (in which that was the only Nightwish version tee there, no one else had it! everyone had the "Once" fallen angel and some chicks actually had the guts to rock up in Evanescence shirts!).

My friends didn't wear their shirts. They wore black and Maddi wore a Hello Kitty shirt and a denim mini skirt with thongs lol.

Hehe, thanks for the info, Sarah, but I already know quite some stuff about them...it would be weird if I didn't since I'm listening about NW for 3 years, lol...Yes, my best friend is a huge fan...=)

Yesterday I downloaded their discography and now I'm going through their music...I can't believe what I've been missing...that's some beautiful music...

No probs Di. Yeah they have some sweet stuff...but be wary, Anette attempted songs that only sound good in Tarja's voice, like Wishmaster and Wish I Had An Angel. I am just glad that Anette didn't attempt Planet Hell or else I would've been a bit pissed. But at the same time it would've been interesting to see her version of Planet Hell (that's why I pt it on my list ^.^)

Reminds me of what my friend Alice did at the concert. She managed to get out of the moshpit and she was next to these people that said to her

"We don't even know who these guys are. We just got dragged along."

Alice was like "I know these guys, but yeah, I was also dragged along."

Some of my favourite non-Dark Passion Play stuff include Wish I Had An Angel, Wishmaster, White Night Fanatasy, Creek Mary's Blood and Over the Hills and Far Away.

Julius in that pic provided reminds me of some glammed up tripped out goth pirate biker wanna-be Rob. Haha.

As for NW I have to admit I have no preference between Tarja and Anette both sound good. Mind you I'm not anywhere near as huge a fan as half you guys. I don't have to be obsessed about a band to appreciate their music.

Hope y'all have fun at your respective shows etc - sure know Sarah did she hasn't shutup about it since ^^ At least it made an impression I guess.
