Haha you guys are so funny with your little arguments Well, I haven't played sims in a while as I am really busy with work but wanted to let you all know I have started something different. A purely Victorian neighbourhood. It took a lot of downloading to make it as accurate as possible. Downloaded Orville, a victorian neighbourhood, victorian clothes for all ages and sexes, replaced cars with carriages, I even installed the mod that changed the roads to cobbled ones and the traffic in the neighbourhood screen to carriages. Yup yup I'm a perfectionist I'm makin it clear from the very beginning, don't expect to see any snaps of sim me or any other familiar face from LPF in my snapshots, the only known sims I used in this neighbourhood are Mike, Rob, Hilary Duff and Joel from Good Charlotte. All modified to suit the era of course. No tats or goatees etc lol So here are my families:

This is Lord Michael Shinoda with his wife Elinor and his son James. Lord Shinoda is a family attorney and pretty rich.

This is Robert Bourdon and his wife Rebecca. Robert has inherited a big fortune and, being a lazy ass, he is unemployed. He spends his free time trying to get his wife pregnant (has tried 4 times already and nothing meh...) or humping Mrs Lucy Wilcox (will meet her below) with whom he has a liaison...

Maurice Madden (I changed Joel to Maurice cause the former sounded too 20th century lol) with his wife Cecilia and his daughter (don't remember her name lol) Maurice is an attorney, also very rich, lives in a mansion with his family and yes, you guessed it, his daughter has a little thing going on with James Shinoda. Awwness..

These two are Sir Harry and Edna Otway, they simply exist in the neighbourhood for my other sims to be able to socialise. I never play them. They are the typical old and rich couple with the cat haha.

And the criminal of the neighbourhood, Jack Ripper...haha he lives all alone in a kennel and makes other sims' lives hard. His hobby is gambling and eating out without paying lol

Dining room with piano and such...oh keep in mind that I'm trying to make it as realistic as possible. My Victorian sims find pleasure in music, reading, woohoo, drinking tea etc. No tv, no computer, nothing that would seem modern!

And aww sis look at that furniture! OMG! The gramaphone (or however it's called) looks awesome, and the pics on the walls, the kitchen, all of it! Even tea and cake in an english setting, I tell ya your game is just amazing! Now that's dedication! Guess it means with a lot less mod cons (tv and computer etc) that your sims have more time to socialise and build relationships, smart that. Back how it used to be long ago... But wow, so blown away by that - looks amazing. Be interested in seeing more when you get around to it. :ok:

And is that the place across from the park in Pleasantview? That's one of my fav original lots! I was actually going to move me and Dave in there in my game (then we 'rented' the house from 'The Simpsons' I downloaded and placed down the road on that same street) - but that's a good guess.

 

Speaking of, am Dan and I going to become enemies now or are we going to learn to get along in sim-land?

I'm planning for you to be a single mother in which already you are! Of baby me (It was 3 am couldn't think of any other names) But I kinda got Nug and Zed taken away from you accidentally. So I was like "fuck it, try again" So I've gone and created another sim family this time not using any part of your real name like I did previously. Anyway yes, very sweet.

 

My game nothing exciting to note. Just the usual. Just trying to see how far I get before I get bored of this one. My problem is I spend so long building places for my sims to love in that by the time it comes to putting my sims in them I get bored far too easily and move on to start again. Hence all the challenges I've been seeking. I guess I wanted some sort of sense of accomplishment in this that you don't really get because the game technically never ends unlike most others. Oh well. I guess I'll plod along until sims 3 comes out and wait for the novelty to wear off there...

To answer your question about Nightlife, Sarah, you can become a vampire only if you start socialising with other vampires (you can find quite a few in the Crypt O' Night Club downtown) and be friends with them and hope that one of them will bite you. Haha OR if you wanna use the cheat-big-time method, you download Insimenator and you go to Mortality State and choose Vampirism for the sim you wanna turn into a Vampire..

If you really were a person of faith in real life, sims must make you question the validity of people as a race / species ... it's boring, really. I'm a sheep - so that makes no sense as far as my involvement... but anyway, well, pity there wasn't a Michael involved. My brother has spent his life reminding me that Michael means 'who is like god.' My response; 'Like god, not IS god.'

And in my sims I had a little baby. Aww. I was going to try and see how many I could push out in one life time but so far even with my family aspiration set to 'twins' I still only had one... this is going to be harder than I thought! Mind you I moved me and David into a huge but very expensive house for the room but also for the high rent (around $6,000 a week!) so we had to take in a roomie (an old woman named of all things Sarah, she's black, NPC) and he also has to keep working otherwise we'll have to move out and I like this place (so far, again, too easily bored) - it's the house from The Simpsons recreated at MTS2, I refurbished and made it into an apartment. Looks creepier now
