Hey, just curious. Is there a way to find out who on the site has the most rep? Doesn't mean anything but wondering.

 

And on another note, when it was first introduced Reputation seemed like an incentive booster but now it's sort of lost it's appeal. Wonder if it can be utilized for the proposed site 'revamp'?

 

On the home page we have top poster count. Why not add highest Rep too? Why have it otherwise? Isn't its very purpose for show?

Yes it is go to "Members List" at the top toolbar and then click reputation. It will list highest to lowest.

I use it occasionally...when I see something truly amazing or truly stupid.

I'm with you on the fact that we need to do something with it or can it though...it is just acting as clutter for alot of us at this point.

I don't know what point it has anymore. I mean when it started it was a thrill watching the score go up and I know it's intentions are good, it's a good way to show appreciation to others and give most an incentive to contribute etc but... as Clogz said, at the moment it's just like... 'there.'

 

Maybe we need to ditch it in favour for another system. If we keep it give it a face lift too. Needs some sort of change (along with everything else). Maybe put it to the people. Poll it front page. Do you think the reputation system 'works' or do you think we should abolish it for something else...? If yes then what would they like to see in its place? Ask questions. The more we involve everyone the more unity we should get as a site. Don't even HAVE to get rid of it, even asking people for their opinions might give the mods/admins more creative ideas than a handful, that's all. Y'all have enough to deal with. It might give everyone asking and waiting for some sort of sweeping change the impression that something is really in the works. It's just a suggestion. And I know these things take time, not meaning to be a bother, I am just thinking aloud, sorry

well Im not sure how it fully works but I thought like that you can get points from other and when you get like for example 1000 points you get some kinda "present" like idk becoming elite or something at least thats the system I think I've seen on some other forums...

I hope you understand what I mean x] lol

 

but dunno if thats able to change... and if just ATLien or coredump can do so...

Yup, I'm also not using it anymore...at the beginning it was fun and interesting...that enthusiasm is gone, I'm afraid...
