I try to (spell check). Last few posts I didn't. Was trying to post before deadline

Factual check, yes. I have slipped into the habit of posting last where I can almost, purely to try and pull some things of everyone elses's together. I've noticed a few discrepancies pop up. The only thing I can do is assume others have also checked facts and have written 'conflicting' accounts due to shifting / biased perspective (people only see what they want to see, in other words).

Other than that sort of out of my hands...

I sometimes do this - say "sarah released" when it's meant to be "sarah realised"

OR

"the clothes above the guards" when it's meant to be "the clouds above the guards"

And dont mention my Fraudian slips anyone who's read my unedited posts in various stories :S

Not true. I liked it now (but for the sake of arguement will try again later and see if you're right )

 

I also think you may have misconstrued something I've written. As there are a few musicians in the house I thought the safest bet would be for me was to place a faceless anyone at Sarah's place of work so they can insert themselves there in their update should they need it. And because Sarah's mad at Mike at present (and something of a notorious flirt) I had her chatting up this other fellow... I knew you and she and Mike had already interracted on the stairs at apartment where Mike mentioned something along the lines of you (I think) needing to grow balls or some such to sperak to him or Sarah, therefore you couldn't have been the guy at her work... unless you were stalking her or something, hahaha

 

As for your post, what can I say? Jawdrop moment about the crack but when I read it I was like 'ah ha!' lightbulb moment. Explained your previous life somewhat... that was well written. And your character and Sarah... that was sweet. Love bug's bighting everyone at the moment. Looking forward to see where this goes... Maybe fireworks ahead at some point

The rooms....and I did have a version of mine written where I did add your part in, but it just didn't fit my story well it made it jump around a little to much, but I tried getting it in.

 

Also I am interested in this Vincent character he sounds so dark and evil, but yet there is so much mystery surrounding him.

That's okay. It is YOUR story after all, no probs really

And as for the rooms... they are as big or as small as you want them to be. For the purposes of this story, given no one's overly rich (It's not slumsville, but it's not fine living neither) don't go nuts. Remember that apartments in New York for the most part are small and expensive. There's too many people and not enough room. I guess it's up to your discretion. Basement rooms would be bigger I guess but I dont even think Azem's character has much by way of furniture to clutter it so... that might help.

Please? Because remember, first in gets to set the scene for other characters their involvement in your update And to keep the consistency going they HAVE to follow your lead.

I'll back that up.

While I am loving the stories (and don't get me wrong, I am) we've seen some inconsistencies that are... getting harder to rationalise.

Please read everyone's posts (that are there) BEFORE you write. This will give you something to work off. If you're lucky enough to be the first one to post after midnight, everyone will then be looking at your story to guide them in some way.

 

In no way am I saying you have to copy anything that anyone else does, it's YOUR story. But please keep in mind it's a collaboration, we need things to overlap here and there or else it's just random stories with no common ground. Please write anything about yourself you want just remember these key rules and we wont nag you... much

 

Be consistent.

If Sarah was sleeping til 12pm but you write you were talking to her at 12pm you've got problems. So have the rest of us trying to make sense of it.

 

You MUST read the posts before yours

(or as much as you can manage where time allows). THEY set the scene.

If you don't want to go into detail about Mel's party, then don't, but at least mention it. It's a party people, someone somewhere in that building would HAVE to notice (even if you just say simply how much the noise last night sucked and move on. Simple).

 

INTERACT!

Most of you have been doing this, and that's awesome, but there's no point living in this place if you don't get out and mingle with those around you. Your story may as well stand alone in the Writer's Corner in that case. You don't have to base your whole post around anyone outside your apartment but make sure at least once a post you mention seeing or speaking or hearing someone else. If you cant think of something give a generality. Say you saw someone familiar on the rooftop smoking a cigarette or checking the mail, or leaving the apartment for work... something one of us can go 'Sounds like me, I'll write that in,' that way if you post next you get first dibs and have interacted and you didn't even have to initiate it

 

POST OR MOVE OUT!

Self explanitory. Novelty already worn off? Great, move out. Or get one of us to move you out in our update. Move back in later should you feel the need. It's like having inactive members in this site. If you don't contribute at least somewhat regularly then you've missed the premise of this story. It takes a community to keep a collaboration going. Real life gets in the way, we know. But posting once a week is... sort of letting everyone down who's actually abiding by the rules. Be fair. If you joined but it's not for you, no hard feelings, just let someone know. That's all we ask. Thanks.
