The Smashing Pumpkins

Just wondering if there are any Smashing Pumpkins fans on here. I know that Stenners was (that's the only thing I miss about that guy was talking about the Smashing Pumpkins with him).

 

My favourite album is Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, my favourite member is D'arcy, favourite film clip (I have two to be honest), Bullet with Butterfly Wings and Rocket, and my favourite song is Bullet With Butterfly Wings. I have their "Best of" DVD, wasn't too impressed by the latest album and disappointed to find that Paris Hilton was on the single cover of Tarantula and by that only two original members returned for the latest album, Jimmy and Billy.

 

My brother saw them a couple of months ago (and didn't take me>:o ) live and I have video footage of them performing such favourites as Today and Disarm (not to be mistaken for Killer In Me Killer In You).

 

I've been a fan of the Pumpkins for a couple of years now and despite how shit they've become, I still admire their old stuff. I wonder where D'arcy and James are now? I know that James was with A Perfect Circle for a while in their later albums (he didn't appear on Mer De Noms). Hmmmm.

Billy Corgan wrote the original version to one of my favorite Taproot songs. That's what helped get me into them, hearing him sing Lost In The Woods led to me getting a few of the Smashing Pumpkins songs. 1979 is one of my favorite songs of all time as well.
