Have you ever been overseas? If so, what was it like and where did you go?

And then I felt chills in my bones / The breath I saw was not my own

I knew my skin that wrapped my frame / Wasn't made to play this game

I've been to the States (New York) and Canada (Toronto area) (since I'm from Europe that's overseas for me haha).

I personally loved it! The cities are huge and the distances are way bigger than over here. But I liked that.

I'm a fan of English since I'm 10, and therefore informing myself a lot on life and lifestyle in English speaking countries, so I didn't really have any problems adapting.

I can't wait to travel overseas again and one day maybe even move to Canada :)

I'm only five hours from Canada and I have never been there. I might actually have to dig up my passport and make some plans to get there. I honestly always forget it is there.

I spent a month in Greece a year before their recession took hold. It was a beautiful country. I met all sorts of interesting people - Iraqis, Iranians, Russians, Greeks, English, and Canadians. I was amazed at the cosmopolitan make-up of Athens. My understanding is that a lot of Europe is similar, with many people from different languages and backgrounds all packed together. I say packed together because its hard using a water closet when you are 6'2''. I remember coming back from Greece and being amazed at the size of my car and my dorm room.

I'm hoping to go back someday for a vacation when their financial situation stablizes a bit.

You should go haha Canada is awesome :D

I personally have never been to Greece but it's on my list!

Europe is pretty cool because of it's variety (different languages, cultures etc)

I travel a lot and have seen many places here (England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Belgium, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Croatia - dunno if I missed anything haha)

Though we're all on one continent it's still so different. It's always nice to see how people from other countries live.

So if you (or anyone else) needs any advice I'm happy to help :)

I have family in Germany so I've been there a number of times. I try to go every other year for a month. I always wanted to go to Australia, but, I've never went. Some day maybe.

I have been to Mexico and Canada, which is not at all overseas for an American. However, fingers crossed that will all change this fall as a trip to Italy is currently in the works!
