Organisers for The Big Day Out, a hugely popular music festival, told revellers that anybody wearing or carrying an Australian flag would be turned away at the gate. After the press got hold of this comment, the dickwad backpedalled somewhat, and claimed that "his words were taken out of context", and that he merely wanted to avoid any nasty incidents that waving our flag might encourage. This crap started last week at the Austrailan Open the Croats and Serbian fans turned up with their country of origin flags and proceeded to bring their thousand year old war to the tennis courts. I celebrated our nation's birthday Priscilla Queen of the Desert style. I looked dreadful. And I was so pissed off because there were no Serbians anywhere for me to take my frustrations out on.
