hoser Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Yup, used that kit. It is pretty complete, but just beware that some of the bolts have a knurled head and some do not. Quote
450Riot Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Would have been nice to know about BEFORE i rebuilt mine.. I didn't even think about buying something like that. I took the emery wheel to all of my bolts and polished them up. What a waste of time that was.. Quote 2004 Honda Trx450Riot Kicker Dasa K&N Motul Kenda Pro Taper Motion Pro Streamline Blingstar
ridingred Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 well you also saved $100+ by not buying new bolts either derek, so i'd say the time was well spent polishing them up. hoser Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Actually, I hate to say it, but usually whenever you do anything to the stock bolts it ends up making them rust. I tried polishing some a few years ago and they just rusted instantly. Quote
450Riot Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Lol yeah thats what I meant. First time I pressure washed it I went from midnight to six. Quote 2004 Honda Trx450Riot Kicker Dasa K&N Motul Kenda Pro Taper Motion Pro Streamline Blingstar
urslo508 Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 I purchased this kit and some are knurled and some are smooth but i switched them where you can't really notice. Quote
TP Racing Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 I prefer TI Quote http://450rhq.com/data/MetaMirrorCache/21fc0f0e32f71137992534b10cc306cc.jpg
5.0fox Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 I used one of these stainless kits on one of my previous builds. The bolts are stainless but a very low grade. I used them all and then ended up changing back to some oem bolts in critical places after a broken a-arm bolt almost killed me Quote
airmobile101 Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 I buy that stuff in bulk from McMaster Carr. I don't think its cheaper than that EBAY listing thou, but I have a buttload of sizes. lol Quote http://www.offtopic.forum/data/MetaMirrorCache/fd3b0f2c0d7ce24057c01e9a7e667bc6.jpg HUNG RACING, MSR RACING, RATH RACING, HOUSER RACING, JT SPROCKETS, HIPER TECHNOLOGY, HINSON RACING, STIFF BRAND CLOTHING,and CYCRA RACING.
