Got to try out my new 21x12x8, 6 paddle haulers and 12-39 gearing at glamis this past weekend. I can definately say it was the best mod yet.:gr_burnout: I had heard it was hard to turn with haulers but I found the opposite to be true. I can slide out of turns, wheelie at will and climb anything. pulled 4th gear up Olds, 3rd gear pulled hard at least 3/4 of the way up and 4th kept pulling

I was running 13-41 with 20x10x8 ITP V paddles before. with 13-38 I could only pulll 3rd gear up Olds and who needs to go 70 in the dunes.

What would you suggest, I have an o8 with a HRC cam, DASA exhaust, K&N no lid, dyno tuned at 47 HP

yep, head and a piston. 14-38 is pretty good dune/hill gearing for most bikes

We run low gearing, and less tire, keeps the load off the clutch. The closest bike we have to your power is my Moms 55hp 07 and its 13-41 with the same tires you have and pulls 4th really hard on all the hills in the south dunes and Glamis.

The 12 fronts are hard on sliders and will create chain bind.

I run 13-39 with 8 paddles haulers, had 21's and just got some 22's so im curious what the difference between the the two will be. Looks like we have the same mods and I cant pull Olds in 4th. Could be the two xtra paddles or Im just a fat ass.....

8s are a lot of tire period, especially for Glamis.

Your tires are measured in height and roll out. For each inch of roll out you will gain 1 mph with all else being equal.

I'm running stock gearing (14/38?) with 20" 8 paddle haulers at Pismo and Glamis. Probably too much tire but I think they look better than 6 paddles plus I got them for a great price so whatevs. I can run through 3rd up Olds just fine, 4th it just holds without going up or down. I'm gonna try dropping a tooth in the front and see what happens.
