The rear end squats down alot when I sit on it.. Also if you lift the rear, it raises about 4 inches before the tires comes off the ground.. My neighbors 06 450r raises about 2 inches before the tires come off the ground.. Is that a spring adjustment? Both stock suspension..

 

Oh one more thing... His springs are red.. Mine are silver.... Did mine come from a different year?

Its possible. Did you buy your quad used? It might have been sprung differently. If its working good for YOU then there is nothing wrong. If it isnt working well for YOU the consider getting it rebuilt for YOU. Jet Suspension is a great place and he does great stuff with stock shocks.

The color of the springs really shouldn't mean anything in this case. Yours may be newer than his. My 07 has silver, and my wifes 05 has red. One thing to look at is the preload nuts yours may be backed all the way off. Like was said though if it works for you I would leave it.
