Hey every one. I dont see any threads about brakes or coolant fluids on the forum. So i decided to make new one.

My brakes are due for change. what do you guys use for front and rear pads? Also what brake fluids do you use?

In case any one is wondering, my bike is stock. I'd like to know of any hot deals for brake pads, brake fluids and radiator/coolant fluids.

thanks

I just buy a know brand / mid price pad (can't remember the brand now sorry) As long as you use DOT3 fluid I don't think it matters much. Braided lines to replace the stock rubber ones is my best brake upgrade... you do notice the difference.

Yep. EBC Sintered pads. Streamline Wave Rotors, and Streamline/Galfer braided lines is where it's at. I don't care who's brake fluid I use as long as it's DOT3 or higher. Belray happened to be what I picked up last time. I never use open brake fluid containers. I use what I need and throw it away. So I usually end up buying really small containers.

Little off topic but Streamline also has a Hydraulic Clutch kit out now with an ASV lever. You can also get them cheaper with an ARC lever. For some reason this thread reminded me of that.

i don't run anything but EBC anymore, i got scared after running the cheap ebay pads and then finding the rear totally worn out after 1 day of riding, lol. The EBC's last a long time and take a lot of abuse, i cover my rear brake pretty hard so it gets abused.

airmobile do those pads hold up? it's a good price if they aren't garbage.

I two have nothing bad at all to say about abc brakes. I mean the 30 bucks for how long they last is worth its weight in gold. Do it right the first time so you dont have to dick around every 2 rides

They are decent, trust me! I have never ran EBC, so I can't comment on them. I would say the Neutron pads are similar to OEM without the price tag. Now, I used to run DP pads. Those feel the same to me as the Neutron/ OEM pads. Stay away from TUSK!

New pad guides. Anti squeal brake pad silicone and antisieze the pins. Bleed the brakes twice as much as you think you have to.

What 450Riot stated, I would make sure you sand down those pins with some 180 grit or whatever you can use to clean those pins up.

Good call. Also I forgot to mention you might need a piston rebuild kit. Consists of new pistons and the seals.

Didnt know this thread was still going. Might be usefull other fellow riders.

I did not need new rebuild kit. Just cleaned it all out real good and use anti seze lube. Next time i will buy a new rebuild kit when i get different rotors n brakes.

Thanks for all of your help!
