ghott Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Went to the local 300' dirt drag racing event this past weekend to shoot some pics. Was the first race of the season...and they had a Mobile Dynojet 168 there as well. I wasn't able to race as my bike is waiting patiently on a new clutch basket to arrive in the mail First up is an 04/05 501cc TRX topped with a Moto-Xperts head. This bike made 64hp on the dyno and it ran VERY well. I'd say Toby and Moto-Xperts knows what he's doing: http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/motoxperts5011-1.jpg http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/motoxperts5012-1.jpg http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/motoxperts5013-1.jpg Next, here is a friend of mine's 04/05 501cc TRX topped with a DASA epoxy head and fed by an FCR carb...has a lockout too it made 61hp. He's one of faster TRX's there and runs 4.5's: http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/dasa5011-1.jpg http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/dasa5012-1.jpg http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/dasa5013-1.jpg http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/dasa5014-1.jpg http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/dasa5015-1.jpg Quote Gary My 2005 Honda TRX450R Site (^^^TRX450R tech articles, dyno testing, pics, vids, and more) http://450rhq.com/forum/data/MetaMirrorCache/993866a3d66db74390c422c8723b1a16.jpg | '04 Racers Edge, AZ 545cc "Me Gusta!"|||| '05 Wicked Motors, MD 450cc "PunisheR" |
ghott Posted May 1, 2012 Author Posted May 1, 2012 Here's the green monster banshee. I think it's a 421 cub or something...not really sure, it's probably one of the fastest bikes at our track...might even run sub 4.0's...not sure: http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/greenmonsterbanshee1-1.jpg http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/greenmonsterbanshee2-1.jpg http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/greenmonsterbanshee3-2.jpg Another triple banshee: http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/tripplebanshee1-1.jpg http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/tripplebanshee2-1.jpg http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/tripplebanshee3-1.jpg A Banshee with an R6 engine in it. This thing would be a lot faster if he could get it to hook...he just spins all the way down the track: http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/r6banshee1-1.jpg http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/r6banshee2-1.jpg My cousin's 250R...not sure what all is done to this. It usually runs 4.8 - 5.1: http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/250r1-1.jpg http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/250r2-1.jpg Quote Gary My 2005 Honda TRX450R Site (^^^TRX450R tech articles, dyno testing, pics, vids, and more) http://450rhq.com/forum/data/MetaMirrorCache/993866a3d66db74390c422c8723b1a16.jpg | '04 Racers Edge, AZ 545cc "Me Gusta!"|||| '05 Wicked Motors, MD 450cc "PunisheR" |
ghott Posted May 1, 2012 Author Posted May 1, 2012 Some shots of the Mobile Dyno. This dyno used to be owned by Matt @ Precision Motorsports. It's a dynojet 168. Stock TRX450R's read 36hp (04/05) and 39hp (06+) on this dyno: http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/dyno1-2.jpg http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/dyno2-2.jpg http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/dyno3-1.jpg http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/dyno4-1.jpg http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/dyno5-1.jpg Some random shots: http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/yfzvscrf450r-1.jpg http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/yfz450vstrx700-1.jpg http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/trx450r-1.jpg Quote Gary My 2005 Honda TRX450R Site (^^^TRX450R tech articles, dyno testing, pics, vids, and more) http://450rhq.com/forum/data/MetaMirrorCache/993866a3d66db74390c422c8723b1a16.jpg | '04 Racers Edge, AZ 545cc "Me Gusta!"|||| '05 Wicked Motors, MD 450cc "PunisheR" |
ghott Posted May 1, 2012 Author Posted May 1, 2012 More random shots: http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/kidonbanshee-1.jpg http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/icecubetrx1-1.jpg http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/dirtbikes-1.jpg http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/400exvsbanshee-1.jpg And last but not least...does anyone remember Chad @ DRG? I saw one of his heads on an 04/05 TRX450R. It had the stock 04/05 carb on it and it was making right at 60hp. Not sure what CC the engine was tho...I would assume that it was at least a 480cc judging by the cylinder...if not a 500+ cc engine: http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/DRGhead1-1.jpg http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/DRGhead2-1.jpg Quote Gary My 2005 Honda TRX450R Site (^^^TRX450R tech articles, dyno testing, pics, vids, and more) http://450rhq.com/forum/data/MetaMirrorCache/993866a3d66db74390c422c8723b1a16.jpg | '04 Racers Edge, AZ 545cc "Me Gusta!"|||| '05 Wicked Motors, MD 450cc "PunisheR" |
black jack Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 cool pics man!!very nice,, your buddys trx looks like its very light!! he's cut some pounds off that thing. looks fun Quote
nuckinfuts Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 That looks like so much fun! Thanks for the pics! That 300' stuff is so much fun and it doesn't take much to run. Wish there was a more legit track around here but it's too hot now. Quick times on those tires too. Im thinkin about dropping some paddles to get more spin again cause I don't wanna run a bar on my duner. Quote http://450rhq.com/data/MetaMirrorCache/450c01f25139ab7ef7d638c0209599ef.png
