Dr. Beardface Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 I had ITP Sand Stars for a long time before I bought some haulers, kinda close I guess. The v paddles LOVE to slide, almost too much for me, but they were a blast as far as just goofing around in the flat stuff. I ride mostly cruising through the dunes and only occasionally drag racing, but I like the haulers a lot better and will not be going back. Quote 2004 TRX480R 30+ HP
want2bfast Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 Edges are pretty good tires. They work great for what they are built for. I really like Sand Stars w/ 8in rims. The 10" rims suck balls. Quote I dont ride dick? So whats your point?
KansasTRX450R-Rider Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 The 10" rims suck balls. Just curious, Why? want2bfast Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 Just curious, Why? The rims are heavy.. They really suck the power out of your bike. Trust me.. 8" rims w/ give more tire to float on top of the sand. Quote I dont ride dick? So whats your point?

idahoduner Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 I run them in a 20-10-8 on my ltr and they arnt a bad tire, just don't expect to win any drag races with it. I like them becouse they are a very predictable tire, especially for jumping. My gliders like to kick my a little sideways at the lip sometimes but the edge shoots me streight almost every time. Hope this helps Quote 2005 Trx450r- Built by HANSEN PERFORMANCE, It moves:gr_grin: 2007 ltr450-13.5-1 wisco, stg 1 hotcams, PCIV, Ron Woods exhaust

idahoduner Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 I like personally think that the edge is more of a jumping, duning tire. It is easier to turn/slide with a v paddle than a streight paddle. A streight paddle is better for hill shooting and dragging. I run 14 paddle gliders on my Honda and I love them. I run them on the ltr sometimes and I can tell it runs a lot quicker up the hill with them, but it's really squirlie on the jumps. What kind of riding do you plan on doing? dirteater74 Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 I loved my 8pdl edges when I had them. I believe they were 20x10x8's might have been 21's. they don't hook as well as Haulers but like someone said they're great for power slides! And being buffed tires they're lighter than any molded paddles. I wouldn't go any bigger than a 9" rim too for better floatation and less chance of bending a rim on jumps. Sonny Quote
