F-Red
I thought you guys would appreciate this upgrade, for the infamous 250R. I needed to rebuild the stock brake calipers. But the pistons are made of some plastic composite. They have become brittle and worn. So, out with the old, in with the new. I bought a complete set of spindles, rotors and calipers, off a 2007 TRX450R on eBay, for $150. shipped. We installed them last night, rode a quick ride around the yard. What a difference it makes. Hopefully I'll give her a longer test ride this morning. Funning thing is, I'm going to post this up on the 250r.net site. Those guys hate 4 strokes so much, they'll appreciate this as well, thinking another 4 stroke was parted out of contention. :icon_lol: http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/05/a3cd6270-1.jpg http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/05/db4ef8e4-1.jpg Quote http://450rhq.com/data/MetaMirrorCache/be5b07af4c27fc1c6c9beaaea87ef233.jpg
Baileyguns
Are the 250R and the 400EX front knuckles the same? I'm pretty sure you can bolt the YFZ450 front calipers right up to the 400 knuckles. It's a dual piston set up so it makes a nice upgrade over the stock 400 single piston caliper.. I plan on putting a set on the 400 I'm building for the Wife. Nice swap tho. Stopping is just as important as going! Quote Live Free or Die http://450rhq.com/data/MetaMirrorCache/9429fda0882ce39582aff21a740157c0.gif

F-Red
those 2 stroke guys are still butt hurt about 4 strokes? This is an old one! On the 250R.net, you just mention a 4 stroke and they freak out. I, on the other hand, can appreciate them both. Quote http://450rhq.com/data/MetaMirrorCache/be5b07af4c27fc1c6c9beaaea87ef233.jpg
