I have a set of almost new smoothies that are buffed so thin they lose air really quick. Any of you guys use Slime or similar in your buffed dune tires to keep the air in?

stick the tires under water and see were there leaking!! i stuck mine in my pool and found my leak,, i just needed to break down mine an clean the rim .

X2, thats exactly how I do it. Id bet its just sand in the bead.

It seems mine is leading through the threads as they are new but super thin double buffs. I think a little Slime will help stop the bleed through air leakage. Thanks guys.

Doesnt adding slime to double or tripple buffs defeat the purpose of multi buff tires? Id go back to single buffs before doing that

Are you positive they leak through the seams? Or just guessing? I would hold them under water first, adding slime to those tires defeats the purpose of having them.

It has leaked since the first day before it even saw sand. Why would a little slime defeat the purpose? The weight of a little slime has to be less than the rubber they buffed off right? Right now it's packe into the back of my 5th wheel so it'll be a few days until I give it some slime it or not.
