DuneRipper
I had one with the same frame as an LT80..theyre hard to find..kazuma panda I think..Plastics wheel frame stuff was all compatible along with suspension..found one for 250 when i was alot younger and had it and it was great. Lasted for awhile and always ran well..Burnt out a headlight once but I beat the piss out of it then sold it for 400 Quote 2006 TRX450er HRC,K&N,Pro-Taper,DG,ProArmor,ITP,Skat-Trak...All around wheelie machine 2002 CR250r Uni,FMF,ASV,Sedona,Kings paddle...Dune&Dirt Jumper 2000 XR50 TAG,Fast 50's,IRC #65 Austin Finster
450Riot
My inlaws have a Givi or a Gino or something like that. Kind of a rip off of a raptor and its a 150cc or so. Really cheap frame, might as well be straight frame rather than the shocks and a-arms they put on. Steering and front end is all garbage. Even for a little kid it's a pretty big fail. The motor started to burn oil almost instantly and everything squeaks on it and is non-greasable. Plus where do you get parts for them?? IMO I'd buy a little used brand name machine. Dman450r
I had one for my son. They're garbage. I went out and bought a used trx90 for $400, put the thing in 2nd gear, told him not to shift it, and let him go. WAY better quad, WAY more stable and WAY more reliable for about the same money, or just a little more. I'm not bashing on you guys that bought one, heck, I bought one too. I just feel strongly about it. It's just night and day difference between the off brands and the main brands. Baileyguns
I picked up an Xtreme X-49 mini quad on Craigslist awhile back for $15 bucks. Cleaned the carb and bought a $30 battery from Walmart... I broke a tie rod end and couldn't find replacement parts anywhere for it. I ended up buying tie rods and ends from another china bike on eBay and got it back together. Would I buy another one for $15 bucks? Fuck ya. Would I buy one for $400 bucks? Fuck no. I picked up an older (93?) LT80 a little while ago for $200 bucks... It's just sitting in the basement till my daughter is ready for it... There's deals if you look hard enough and you're patient. The eton has allot of interchangeable parts with polaris scrambler many of them were raced, same motor etc.. made same place. Kazuma dinli typhoon brands are good. Not to be confused with the typhoon that looks like a tall skinny turd. Quote I don't want to be just another Member. rrguy
If you want some cool little quads that you might wanna race http://www.koolkidzatv.com/ You gotta look past the lead paint, I don't care for china JUnk but there are lots of them out there & if you kinda research for $400 or so for new one your kid may be happy as heck. If you are a Honda guy who buys one of them Raptor look a likes for $700 thats your own fault lol Yet maybe its better than the real Raptor? lol So from asking around Some actually seem ok an like other said the frames an suspenion are kinda a joke. Yet most of those still have parts on the interenet an if you big guys hope on it well with a welder you can guset & fix a crack etc... lol Had a eton/(dinli sunli) My older boy rode, jumped it, raced it some. You can regear reclutch pipe & port them etc... Hetrick racing can make them fly. So sold that cause oldest out grew it. I bought a couple used cheaper china ones with Honda clone engine $150 - $300. did a little fixing, I fit up a bigger rear sprocket to gear them down so they can go slow an go uphill. Widen them out ran some little holeshots on rear to lower an gear it down more, works for the kids from 2-7 to ride around. I adjust the throttle when they are 2 or starting off, so I can keep up with quad. If they hit something no one gets hurt & kinda fun to readjust throttle to do wheelies on also. Dman450r
@dman how old of a kid did you have on the 90? My son is 6. I bought it from a guy who said he got rid of it because his kid couldn't master the shifter. lol. Like I said, I put it in 2nd gear and told him to go. If that's too fast, you can put it in 1st. Heck, you can even remove the shifter if you don't want them accidentally shifting, but that was never a problem for my boy. Now he has something he can ride till he's 11 or 12. Oh, and he also gets the benefits of engine braking when he goes down hills unlike his chinese one that would freewheel. rrguy
Thought the 90 was semi auto? Yeah why wouldn't you just leave it in one gear till he could figure it out? Kinda Ironic but when my boy was 5 put him on a jr50 an if you grind a slot the JR actually has two speeds. anyrate I wanted him to shift an learn that, so he could climb hills in low an go faster in open areas? either way it would take off an stop without a hand clutch. Loud450man
when i was younger i had a 110cc a 125 and a 250 chinese quad. they were all pretty much crap... motor mounts breaking, bolts breaking, carb problems ,bearings go after a few rides ect. the 110 tho i never had a problem with idk why lol im also had a honda trx 125 ....bullet proof lol really if you can fix things and its for a rider thats not aggresive the chinese quds are ok i mean dont go jumping them and crap but for learning i would buy one. but the thing to buy would be a little honda 90 or somthing like that Quote 450r mx quad ...sb, st, flux capacitor :headbang:

sandt38
I bought my son an Adly 90 last Christmas just to shut him up. He was 13 and about 130 solid pounds He rode the piss out of it. 2 months later (his birthday) he asked for a new motor, so I got him a 125. Took us just a few minutes to put in. He really beat the $hit out of the thing. I got him a new bike this year so he brought the Adly to his friend's house so when he gets out of school he can go right over there and ride. He has had no problems with it aside from breaking foot pegs. The welds were poor at best, and the nutplate tore out of the bracket. I just took them off, straightened them and re-welded the angle, drilled through the top plate of the bracket and used a larger, stronger bolt and nut. But the truth is, he is too big for that bike, anyways. Couple that with how aggressively he rides, and those type of failures are eminent. On the first day he had it he went headfirst into a tree. He turned on wet grass and, well, he didn't turn. He bent the front bumper, but otherwise there were no issues. Quote Black '06 TRX450ER
