I thought there was something bad about anodized parts.. can't remember exactly. Doesn't it fade or something?

Anodizing can fade, but the biggest problem is that anodizing can only be done to aluminum. And before anybody points it out, it can be done to some other metals, but it is crazy expensive and rare to find a shop that does it.

I had mine originally ceramic coated black, but after a few rides it started to come off. I use yellow header wrap now, saves the leg/pants and gives it that tricked out look. Never really thought about anodizing it, that stuff fades to quick.

There is only one company who I would send my stuff to ford ceramic coating. Ram Proline, they do work for about every major and small exhaust company out there who ceramic coats

Hey Black and Yeller did you use a paste/spray with your exhaust wrap? I used Moose Racing's wrap and it didn't recommend or come with a spray (nor did I know about the spray at the time) and it got brittle and broke off in sections after about 3 rides. I got 50' of it so I used all 50 feet and now I'm running a bare pipe and my Tech 3's are my new heat shield.

What brand are you running for wrap?

I use HP header wrap, then once it fades I spray it with vht flame proof spray paint. I haven't had any problems with it breaking or getting brittle yet(knock on wood). The first time I used it I had probably 20-30 hours on it and it held up great. I just rebuilt the engine and have about 5 hours on the new stuff, hopefully I can get a good year out of it. I still have half a roll of it left just in case I jinxed myself.
