New guy from Oklahoma... 250R's and 450R inside.

Hello,

I thought I'd say hello. I'm Nic McMillin, from Marietta, OK (far southern edge of Oklahoma, and 250 miles away from Little Sahara). I've been involved in ATV's for at least 20 years and have had many Honda's and Yamaha's in that time. I own several 250R's and got two 450R's a couple years ago to have as a cruiser. I've also been involved in automotive drag and circle track racing, as well as a variety of motorsports projects. I'm currently a graphic designer/writer/photographer and also teach History and Behavorial Sciences at a small two-year college here in Oklahoma. Below are pics and descriptions of some of my toys. In addition, I have a few trikes and bikes, but those can come later.

The blue 250R is a 1988 I purchased as a bare frame to use up some of my parts collection. I scrounged many parts to build it as cheap, but nice as possible. I ended up with a little over $1,500 in it. It is a stock chassis, powdercoated black with a 265cc trail ported engine, 38mm A/S/ carb, FMF H-49 pipe and V-Force Reeds. It makes a great quick cruiser and trail bike.

The red/white 250R is my first Honda, purchased as a thrashed barn-find in 2002. The frame is a 1986, powdercoated Corvette red. The engine is a Sandtrix drag port 330 cylinder with an ESR TRX9 exhaust, intake and 41.2mm Keihin PWK. It recently made 55.5 hp on the dyno on gas. Many of the pieces have been polished, chromed or powdercoated.

Finally, my 450R cruiser is a 2007 with a Demon CNC 36/31 head, HRC cam, CP Piston, Dasa Classic Exhaust and Intake. It is basically a stock cruiser with HID lights and a few other tricks, to make 53 hp on the dyno.

Thanks for checking out my rides. It's nice to be a member of another forum and I hope that I can add to the knowledge base. If you have any questions about my setups, or 250R's in general, don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks! I've never talked myself into selling a 250R, only added to the collection. My brother sold one of his 250 trikes, but got it back soon thereafter. I figured it was a sign to hang on to them.

Here's a pic of the trike... It's an alky-ported 260cc, please excuse the gold wheels, normally it wears Haulers on Douglas .125's...

Welcome Nico! Sweet rides. Having both 250's and 450's are the best of both worlds. RIDE RED FOREVER!

Thanks for the warm welcome... I'm glad there are some 250R and 450R guys still out there. Most times when I go ride, younger guys come up asking what my 250R's are, especially the blue one.

Your welcome and glad to have you. I get the same reaction from the younger riders. Especially when they ask, what year the bike is. They freak when I tell them it's over 25 year's old. :secret2::icon_eek:
